Help beating Yunalesca?
Ok I got her to stage three with my Aeons, but does anyone have a simpler way? I'm kinda under levelled.

The fight is about two key things: keeping zombified characters around in a controlled manner to prevent them dying to her instant death attack (zombies are immune to death), and dealing with her Mind Blaster mass confuse ability. The former can be achieved by smart play and rotating characters, while the latter comes down to either luck, or having a confuse resist/immune armor on someone.

She's a tough fight if you're not an expert at the game. The final phase in particular is very annoying, so feel free to save your aeons for that to finish her off.
I did use refect on three of my characters so her debuffs bounced off on the first stage though..

Using Reflect is one way, that'll also stop her Cura spam in phase 2 (though it will heal her in the process). However this does not protect against her instant death, nor against her mass confuse, so be careful.

The easiest way to beat her is to have Yuna learn Holy, it will generally deal max damage against Yunalesca. But if not it helps to have all your aeons with full overdrives to summon and perform their respective overdrive. Also bring Holy Waters to remove the zombie status she casts.

Transitioning from her second to third form, keep at least 2 of your 3 party members zombified as they are immune to Mega-Death which she will cast instantly upon entering her third form. Mega-Death becomes available for her during her third form so it is important to balance your party with zombified and non-zombified members.

Not sure about the Standard Grid, but on the Expert Grid at least this isn't exactly "easy". Not only is it very far down the path, it's also blocked by sphere locks you'll only be able to go past if you steal from Yenke and Biran (i.e. you know to do that).

But if you do get Holy, it'll be devastatingly effective to be sure.

I'm on the Standard one.

Well you can always check where you're at, if you're in a position to pick up Holy, do it. It's not required by any means (and Yunalesca is really the only fight where it's particularly relevant) but it'll kick her into last week and then some, that's for sure.
I'm a few things away from holy it looks like. Also i fought her again and screwed up by using a mega potion, and forgot two characters were still Zombified....X_X
Ok i should've probably said that I was on the third stage. I did try and kill her at that point with Yojimbo too, but he didn't do his thing.

Just keep at it! Check your gear for protection pieces - if you can protect even just a few damage dealers from blind/silence, that can go a long way. And if you have confuse protection, that's even better.

I had Lulu and Yuna use Holy. Lulu was hitting around 9, 300 and Yuna was doing 9, 999

could you technically use a ribbon to shield against the death ability she uses ?

Ribbon does not protect against Death. It stops Zombie, Petrify, Poison, Silence, Darkness, Berserk, Sleep, and Doom.

It doesn't stop Death, nor does it stop breaks (Power/Mental/Armor/Magic), and it also doesn't stop Curse. It also doesn't stop Shinryu's Eraser from petrifying you (nothing does, much like Chac's gaze in X-2).

It protects against everything RELEVANT at postgame. Petrify is the only relevant status effect you can guard against, because an attack that petrifies and also kills you will shatter the character and permanently remove it from combat. All the other status effects are ones you can't protect against, or tied to attacks that kill you anyway, or are on irrelevant enemies.
