Green during cinematics

Im not recording or anything like that, but all cinematic cutscenes are just a green screen. Anyone know whats going on?

Try running "FFX&X-2_LAUNCHER" and "FFX" rus as admin by default via compability,
also try https://ntcore.com/?page_id=371 this.
These worked for me but im not sure which one helped.

wow thank you that "prefer maximum performance" setting did it for me with an rtx 2060 mobile

I was getting only green video on a modded game (with the better textures). I did the following, and it started working.
1) Nvidia control panel "prefer maximum performance" (this alone did not fix it, but it's set to that, so, I thought I'd note it).
2) Patched the game for 4Gb memory usage as in this simple guide:

I just quit and reload, it worked fine.

Now this screen,made me hate the color green, witch Ironically, my 2nd favorite color, after orange.

A much easier fix is changing to Borderless Windowed mode instead of Fullscreen mode. Worked perfectly for me.

I run an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 TI, and what fixed it for me was going into the NVIDIA Control Panel-->Manage 3D Settings-->and change the Power Management Mode to Prefer Maximum Performance. You can do it on a global basis or program by program LINK[nvidia.custhelp.com]

So I did this on the launcher, it worked for like a day. then went in an did it on the exe X since that is what I am playing. now as I look at teh folder, it created backups of both the launcher and the exe X. okay thats fine. now my question is dumb. but do I start the game from the backup and just forgo using steam to launch the game or whatever? cos omg this is really pissing me off

No, if I remember correctly you still start from steam. I started playing from the the launcher it gave me and it wasn't giving me achievements. When it installed and I used steam it fixed the green screen.

yeah launching the game from the steam client should be fine

I also have a few green screens and never had that before but i am also really behind on updating my graphics driver.Typically i hate graphics updates because they only address the newest big name games so i am like about 5 updates behind.
My point is that it might be your driver not sure but i also know i was downloading a few things at same time and my internet is bad so maybe the files didn't download properly.
If i care about the green screen "happens more often" i will do a verify file integrity first.

The green screen issue is a known problem. There's two ways to fix it:

1. Get the 4GB Vram patch[ntcore.com] directly.

-OR-

2. Get the UnX mod[wiki.special-k.info], which includes the above fix and also additional QoL improvements that can be very useful. Make sure to grab it from the wiki (in the link) not the Steam page, that one is outdated.

I FOUND THE SOLUTION:
just change the screen mode to window or borderless :D

obviously no one want to play in windowed mode but in borderless you don't notice the difference I swear it works I had been trying to fix it like for three days I even talk with Square Enix and didn't even know how to fix it AND IT WAS SO SIMPLE
