Mercury Crest and Sigil Missing from Inventory!

This is very odd. First visit to Bikanel Island I got the Mercury Crest from the quick sand pit. Later, after I gained airship access I began to do some sidequests, one of these included the Cactaur Hide and Seek Minigame. I was already there monster capturing, so I figured I might as well. Spent probably 2 hours or so doing this, I was very pleased when I acquired the Mercury Sigil from the chest in the Cactaur village. I then go back to Macalania Woods to the giant crystal only to be told "It seems the time has not come yet". I check my Key Items inventory and neither crest nor sigil for mercury is there. Went BACK to Bikanel to double check and sure enough both chests originally containing the crest and sigil are opened. I feel like I just waisted a ton of time for nothing. Is this a pc version bug I am unaware of? Oh and I forgot to mention, yes Godhand is in my inventory and posesses only the 'no ap' skill :-(

Seems like a bug, though I have not heard of it before.

My advice would be to get the Farplane savegame editor and to manually add the items again. Should take all of 30 seconds and fix it all.

I'd seen the topic in passing on the forums but have yet to look into it. Sounds like just the thing i need. Thank you for this suggestion.
