But that's fine, not everyone has to enjoy everything.
Still, abit of fun to be had at least :)
Even if there were some shallow gameplay aspects to FFX-2, the game certainly offered some meaningful development for many of the characters of the series. Not to mention the big payoff in the end if you managed to 100% the game.
Last Mission's story, on the other hand, sorta starts off on the wrong foot and only gets worse. Despite the heavy emphasis on camaraderie in the previous games, we're now expected to believe Yuna, Rikku, and Paine never really liked one another and it's better if they go off on their seperate ways...
I'm not against potentially bittersweet endings but this really comes off as hamfisted more than anything. So, yeah... The gameplay might be sorta interesting, but I don't think the story won many people over.
Just let good things be, without trying to reboot, revive, or reimagine them. Someday the dream will end. And that's okay. Wake up, go to sleep another night, and dream something new. I've just about had it with hashtagrehash in every damned medium there is.
