Is there a way to insert your own tracks into the game? Planning to rewrite the OST

Probably possible. IIRC the music files are all packed in the VBF so they should be relatively easy to replace.

Theyre in the VBF and ALSO in an fmod bank/container.
You'd need fmod tools to rebuild it.

Ok, I managed to open the VBF file via a FF12 mod thingy, now how do I get to exchange stuff in the FSB file...

The extractor is working, but I cannot open the files (even though they're .wav , but they seem to be encoded)

Seems like a lost cause :/ I don't know how to "insert" new files into the FSB.

I also tried FMOD tools, but strangely enough it cannot open FSB files in any way Oo

You need FMOD Designer. NOT FMOD Studio. Then you need to recreate the whole soundtrack just like the .fev file. Create new project naked "ffx_music" or "ffx2_music" and add a Event group named "music" and then add single event following the fev file.

I was able to mod the music using FMOD Designer but was unable to use the original rips od the game using FSB Extractor. The audio files extracted are ADPCM.
