Omnidirectional movement?
Squeenix being absolutely incompetent at porting games to PC as ever, they restricted movement to 8 directions.
Is there some sort of mod or patch that can fix this?

I'm using an official Xbox One controller and am limited to 8 directions.

This game/port has omnidirectional movement already.

Except it doesn't.
It's obviously 8-directional.

Step 1: get a functioning controller with analog input.

Step 2: enjoy omnidirectional movement.

You would not look like a fool if you weren't one.
Test it out - the game clearly does NOT allow "free" rotation as one would assume.
Just a quick test and you'd notice it. It is not as bad as 4/8 directions, but from how it looks it is likely 16 directions.

I did test it. The game allows precisely 64 different directions for movement Inputs - just like the PS2 versions did.

Sure, not 360°, but just as omnidirectional as any other, similiar game. And certainly better than whatever you guys "tested".

Not sure what to say - get some glasses?
There are hundreds of hours of footage of FF-X remastered on YouTube - pick any one where the character walks around and you immediately notice the jarring change in direction rather than a smooth turning.
