Edit: the Anima doesn't have bonus items to get for whatever reason.
You can do most things without a guide and without trouble. You just need to look around a bit. Most things are "hidden" in plane sight.
Just explore every nook and cranny. The dark aeons are a bit of a punishment if you did not get something in the areas they block, but that's about it.
the game even tells you about things like the extra chests in temples, rewards for minigames, or the monsterFarm.
