FFX-2 100% on first playthrough - Can I enter FP before finishing VI?

Slight spoilers.




I'm looking to 100% the game on my first playthrough. However, I also want to do most of the creature creator. And to kill Trema I feel I need to be level 99 which keeps me from leveling the creatures that unlocks after entering the Farplane.

So to you who KNOW this: Does it matter if I enter farplane before finishing Via Infinito? Or do I have to beat Trema before entering?

I think you can do that. The point of no return is after the last music puzzle inside the FP. From the save sphere before the puzzle you can still return to the surface and the VI.But before you enter the FP, you should go to the flower field from all temples.

About Creature Creature: I highly recommend doing that in NG+ . It's much easier to do it when you keep the party level low. And I'm pretty sure you need to mess up on one of the music puzzles to be able to meet a certain monster, and I'm not sure if that will influence the percentage.
Edit: And there are certain 'creatures' you can only get in NG+.

Yes, you can enter the Farplane. As long as you don't go to the fight with Vegnagun itself, you can go back and return as you please. In fact there's a reward for leaving and entering via every possible access route.
