Personally, I never found dedicated grinding to be required in any way during the story portion.
thats true , on my first playthrough i even played all the way to sinnspawn gui with almost no levelling because i was too dumb to understand the Spheregrid back then
ok , i wont waste much time on levelling except for the moonflow ( i like using rikku but shes sadly a bit underlevelled after you unlock her )
I usually just rush through the story, and catch up there.
just a few final Questions , what stats and abilities should i have for the weaker Dark aeons ( i always just killed them with zanmatou but i want to not use this ability at all this time )
is auron viable in the Post game ? i never played much blitzball i dont know if i can get all Overdrives and world Champion as easy as i can get tidus and rikkus weapon and crests / sigils
and getting the Items for Auron ( and Yuna) is alot faster than Wakka
what other grinding methods besides Don Tomberry are good ( i always just used him , i want to not do the same everytime for once )
when should i start upgrading the spheregrid ? i know the monster farm creations drop spheres ( i just dont know which one drops which , would be great if you could quickly tell me)
and lastly . what blitzball team should i use ? i usually have Tidus (Left) Linna ( right) Brother (Middle) ropp ( defense) Kyou ( goalie) and some random Character as the 2nd defender
but i never play Blitzball well , i dont know which players are good or anything ( i just take linna for her high level )
Overdrives are largely superfluous for superbosses, with two exceptions. Rikku's Mix can cast Ultra NulAll to give you 5 stacks of all buffs in one cast, which is extremely useful for some fights (Penance especially). And Wakka's Attack Reels can be used to take out Dark Mindy in the Dark Magus Sisters fight before they get a turn (and thus Overdrive, which insta-wipes you). Aside from those situations (neither of which are technically required either but help a lot) I barely use overdrives at all.
Auron is very viable. In fact he's quite amazing during early postgame. His Celestial Weapon has innate First Strike, meaning you can stop the Greater Marlboro ambushes that would often be a real danger of wiping. It also scales inversely with his HP - the lower Auron's current HP, the more damage he deals. This can be "abused" by intentionally keeping him at 1 HP for maximum damage, which can help speed up the grinding at lower Strength levels. Lastly, his overdrive Banishing Blade will apply Full Break with 100% chance to any enemy not immune to it, thus bypassing the very high break resistances of some Arena monsters you're using to grind early on (e.g. Juggernaut and Fafnir). His weapon is also the easiest Celestial Weapon to fully unlock.
Blitzball is easy, but time consuming. You need something like 30 matches or so at minimum to unlock World Champion fully, which can be tedious. But unlike some of the other minigames, it's not difficult per se, and if you know how to set up a good team it's virtually impossible to lose.
If you don't want to use AP conversion with Don Tonberry or Cactuar King, just grind in Omega. It's slower to be sure, but it also gives you drops and money (lots of money, with mimics). You can usually get everyone to 99Slvls if you just walk through to the end and back again (taking advantage of the double/triple AP gear you have, of course).
I posted a list of my usual postgame plan in this thread:

Have a look for some pointers.
There's a number of possible good combinations. Personally, I think just having Tidus in the front, Brother in the middle, and Ropp at the back is usually enough. The rest can be filled with various options, yours should work just fine.
If you want super easy wins, just abuse Brother's speed - pass him the ball, then use him to get the entire enemy team to follow him. Swim far away from the goal and create some distance so they don't stop you, then pass aaaalll the way across the field to Tidus. Head into the empty goal, score. Repeat. You'll never lose a game.
well . the expert grid has 50 nods fewer than the standard grid , these have to be somewhere on the standard grid after all
but you still have to cross them
The problem is that way i grind too nuch and end up beating lots of areas too fast
