So... I can't have Anima

Hi.
I was blocked at the battle against Jecht inside Sin so I decided to do side quest so that my characters would lvl up at the same time.
I got Yojimbo, and did everything to have the Magus Sisters, but Anima is needed to have them.
Then I realize I need the secret treasures of Macalania and Zanarkand temples.
The problem is, at Macalania temple, that I am welcomed by dark Shiva hitting at 99999 damage. Which means I don't see any way I can have Anima now.
I tried playing Yojimbo, hoping he would do Zanmato, but I'm tired of resets, and I'd prefer do the battles legit...

So, is there any other way I could get to that f temple now, or am I doomed ?

Go grinding until you can beat Dark Shiva, basically. The arena and dungeon with Omega are the two best grind spots in the game.

Besaid and Machalania are blocked by Dark Aeons, so if you didn't get the treasure sphere there before acquiring the airship, you need to defeat those Dark Aeons to do so. No other way around it.

Not having Anima doesn't lock you out of TOO many things, though. Yes you don't get Magus Sisters, but you hardly need them; it does stop you from getting Yuna's Celestial Weapon, which is annoying, but she's not the most useful full-time frontliner so...

Anima is not really needed to beat Shiva or any other dark aeon, just one meat shield less. And just as a note, if you go too far, there is another dark aeon after the Zanakard cloister of trials, so be careful. Let's hope you got the Celestial weapon crest (or was it the seal?) on your first Zanakard visit.

And about Shiva: You 'just' have to do a lot of grinding and stat raising to make your characters strong enough. If you have problems with Jecht , than you are way too weak for Dark Shiva. You would have to do the stat raising anyway if you plan to do to other Dark Aeons or more powerful Monster Arena creations.

Thank you for your tips guys. Beating the darks eons seems to need a lot of grinding... I'll see after the main story if I bother taking care of them

also yunas weapon is just a average anyway , break dmg limit , 1 MP triple overdrive and double AP , yunas overdrive only makes the meat shield start with an overdrive which you can farm before a boss , and for the strongest bosses , you will have a near maxed spheregrid anyway , just the 1 MP thing is positive , if i would do a Yuna only challenge , it would be helpful with being able to spam drain to heal up but besides that , you dont really use magic , and once you have 999 mp it doesnt matter how much an ability uses

just defeated dark valefor around 2 days ago. break hp limit and auto phoenix is needed for one character. grab the celestial weapons now :)

Break HP Limit isn't needed for anything in the game. In fact, it's actively bad to have it, because it's so hard to heal back up.

Damn, how much time to lvl up my characters at a point I'll be able to defeat them ? Seems like it's gonna take 100h :/

if you get the god hand just farm mimicks in omega ruins and then build farming weapons by bribing monsters

Go hunt fiends for the Monster Arena until you have 10 of each in every area.

Kill things in Omega until you can deal about 10-15,000 damage with your main team.

Then go grind Juggernaut in the Monster Arena for +4 STR spheres until you have 255 STR on everyone you want to use.

That'll set you up for the rest of the game, maxing out stats etc.

Grind. Use the speed boost (f1) to 4x speed, supercharge boost (f2), increase encounter rate (f3), and auto-battle (f4) to speed things way, way up. Then just run around hitting the confirm key to clear post-battle menu.

If you installed Untitled Project X, I think it speeds up the speed boost by another 2x, so hitting it twice is an 8x speed increase. Makes grinding really fast.

Sadly, the special features won't work. I keep pressing F1 / F2 / F3 etc, it won't do anything. I try rebinding the keys, still nothing.
