cool , saves me some work of playing to that point with the standard grid ( i originally made the save for modifying and testing the expert grid for stuff , also the calculating and so on )
thats probably the problem , but what if there was a way to just make a skin that looks like rikku or yuna in place of tidus "standard skin" not actually use the existing model for the characters but make ones that look like them
Yeah, not likely to happen.
Such mods are possible, but unlikely. You'd have to figure out how to unpack and pack the game files and swap the models. Also, you'd need to create models using the correct specifications so that FFX would be able to understand them. I think some modders have done this with textures but I'm not sure they've done it with models. I know people have been able to create custom models for FFVII and FFIX.
None of that is related to FFXED, though, which is just a save file editor. However, in FFXED you can use the game coordinates to travel to a room where you play as Auron. Try it!

Room Number - 2
Spawn Point - 0
So, I read through on the sphere grid discussion you had a bit earlier in this thread and I'm very curious as to if you'd be able to develop a couple other features under the sphere grid section.
Over the many years of using FFXED (thank you VERY much by the way) I've found myself working 80% of the time with the sphere grid section. Creating challenges, changing stats etc. Which leads me to one big question -> Can you add a feature that automatically adds a stat/ability to an empty node without having to find every node labelled "Empty"?
For instance, if I want to add a +1 Strength node, I have to go through the list and find an empty slot, click on it, and then click edit, and apply and move on. Is there a way to program something that could import something Like +1/2/3/4 str/mag/def/agi/eva/acc/etc.etc.etc AUTOMATICALLY to an empty node?
I'm very aware that this feature isn't "absolutely" necessary, but as someone who spent months creating a brand new sphere grid from scratch, I think this would be an AMAZING feature that could easily cut down the time spent creating, and more time playing. As well with a multitude of possibilities, it would allow people like me to more quickly get into the game to try out what we are attempting to do. Just a thought.
And, once again, thank you very much for this, it's been the only download I've had on all of my computers since years ago. <3

This is a little disturbing to read. Has anyone else had this problem?
I was hoping to use this editor to avoid the more annoying Celestial Weapon minigames (Lulu and Waka come to mind), but I don't want it to totally bug my ability to get them.
You can use this editor for it, or a different one like Farplane.
When changing the model of everybody's weapon to a Moogle (isn't that the best and main reason to use FFXED?) (apart from renaming everyone!) it works great and is incredibly amusing - especially with limit breaks {try it with the main character when he runs around making many hits!} That is, for everyone except Wacko. Every time he goes to kick the Moogle in his limit break, the game crashes. He spins it on his finger, and tosses it, but the kick hard-crashes the game.
It even works with some Aeons (where their weapons are visible - it shows up on the end of Ixion's horn-blade-thing!).
Anyone have any ideas about how I could possibly get it working so Wacko can kick his Moogle? It would make the game immeasurably more enjoyable for me
I can confirm that editing your weapons in FFXED will not change any of the data associated with opening various chests in the game. In general, you don't have anything to worry about. But if you modify your Key Items in FFXED to give yourself stuff like Rusty Sword or Sun Sigil, it may have an impact on these chests--i.e. if you give yourself the Sun Sigil, the Sun Sigil chest may be opened for you and you won't be able to open it yourself.
