Sure thing pal. This is an old thread where I found the info: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=686011809
It will walk you through everything. But basically, it is something you run before launching the game, then it just does it for you when you get to the thunder plains and stop moving. I had to find a place where I wouldn't jump off the screen, but thirty minutes of jumping backward, you might eventually leave the map.
There are ways to turn the mod off while in game, but instead of uninstalling from the game, you just uninstall it from your PC when you're done.
P.S. I used it myself. I had to tinker a bit with where to place Tidus to make it work right, but then once I made sure he was dodging correctly, I went and cooked dinner, cleaned the kitchen, had a drink, and I came back and had the nightmare finished. It works as advertised.
I see where i'll be using it then: right next to the pampa stone.
Did you just "unsuscribe" or did you have to delete sthing in the game folders ash?
I could see an argument being made on the difficulty of obtaining Lulu's ultimate weapon if it was required to help achieve some other challenge in the game, but it's mainly just there for people who enjoy a challenge.
I just did an add/remove uninstall of the program when done. I didn't think of anything still remaining in the games folder, but it definitely hasn't impacted anything since I did that (a good 20 games hour ago from where I'm at now).
I think the minigames in this are nuts too. I think back to FF7 chocobo breeding, and that was time consuming and crazy, but definitely not infuriating. I think difficulty over time wasting is the way to go.
It's not like the 0:0:0 Catcher Chocobo or the Butterfly game or 200 dodges really take a lot of time - if you do them perfectly. Where they waste time is IF YOU SCREW UP. Which is opposed to something like Chocobo Breeding, where you'll take a lot of time even if you do everything perfectly, because it's a matter of grinding and/or randomness rather than actually being challenging to do.
I think he meant the opposite. He said:
That leads me to believe he would rather the mini game be easier, but more time consuming, versus difficult, but can be accomplished quickly (if you're perfect).
Personally, I simply prefer cerebral difficulty over dexterity. Figuring out gear and stat combinations, a fight strategy, that sort of thing - not how quickly you can mash buttons, or how accurately, or how precisely you can move the stick around.
About those mini games everyone of us has his own nemesis and this fair too. Me personnally i hate the lulu mini game the most, followed by the buterflies, then comes the chocobo race ( which was my most hated one when i played this game for the first time oddly enough, but not anymore)
No, I was really unclear in retrospect. I hate time consuming stuff, but especially when it's infuriating. The chocobo breeding was definitely time consuming, but it wasn't infuriating. I think I dropped that point without expanding on it. But yeah, either way, I prefer difficulty over time consuming 99 percent of the time.
I can't think of anything that's worse than the Final Fantasy IX jump rope mini-game. At least with the lightning dodge mini-game you only need to get 200 dodges in a row. The jump rope mini-game requires 1,000 jumps in a row, and with the awful timing changes to throw you off.
At least on PC if your keyboard is good enough (no delay) you can spam the button to do jump rope legit, or use a auto clicker to do it. But on console, I agree. Jump rope is crazy hard on ps1.
