Thanks man.
Can't we change the commands on the controller? I didn't see any button configuration option. Confirming with "B" feels very weird to me.
tks

There's a mod that does it automatically for you. I turned on the mod, and I AFK for over thirty minutes. It worked. The problem is there is no counter, so you need to AFK for awhile. But think about that. You're playing this game, and you're supposed to play for 20 to 30 minutes straight error free or you're doing it again. This is a game I have no issues running mods and cheats on. So much nonsense.
It was easier for me to find a mod. But if you know how to edit the data, then yeah, I'd do it.
Hinnyu, if you're willing to explain how we can use this 3rd program and how to make sure not to get a corrupted save, i'm all ears, tks.
Ash, i'm interested in this mod, could you pls tell us the name so we can look for it.
I guess you've already used it yourself, right? can i remove this mod safely once i got through this hatefull mini gale?
apparenlty we can now skip some cutscenes but everytime i try to cut one, nothing happens... any infos on this?
- Download and install the latest version of this[www.cheatengine.org] program.
- Make sure you hit Skip to not install the unneeded extras that can come with the download.
- As this hooks into games/processes, most anti-virus applications will try to quarantine this as a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program). They are overzealous, and this is not going to infect your computer. The only thing that might negatively impact your system is if you don't skip the additional programs when downloading the installer. Either disable the antivirus or add an exclusion to the installer, as well as to the folder you're going to install this to. For example, I created the folder "C:\Program Files\ Cheat Engine" and added the exclusion to that folder. Then I installed this program to "C:\Program Files\Cheat Engine\7.0.0". Since the "C:\Program Files\Cheat Engine" folder (and everything in it) is excluded I don't have to worry that my anti-virus is going to do anything to affect that process.
- Download this[fearlessrevolution.com] cheat table.
- Start FFX and load your save file.
- Start the Cheat Engine program.
- Use the 64-bit version if you're on an x64 computer, or use the 32-bit version if you're on an x86 computer. If you're unsure what version you have just run the standard process that doesn't say 32-bit or 64-bit.
- Hit the icon at the top-left that looks like a computer monitor with a magnifying glass. Select the Final Fantasy X application from the list that pops up. This will let the Cheat Engine program attach itself to your game.
- Hit the folder icon to the right of the first icon you selected. This will let you load a cheat table. Navigate to where you saved the cheat table in step 2 and select the table.
- Tick the empty box at the top next to "Player Stats Base Address Scan Initialization (Activate This First)".
- Tick the empty box at the top next to "Player Stats Base Address Scan (To Update: Play Level)".
- Find the option that says "Player Stats Update Base Address?". Double-click where it says "0 : No". This will bring up a dropdown menu. Change the "0 : No" to "1 : Yes".
- In your game, open your menu. This will make sure the table updates address properly on the off-chance that it didn't update when you selected the previous options.
- Tick the empty box at the top next to "Player Stats".
- Tick the empty box at the top next to "Lightning Minigame".
- Tick the empty box at the top next to "Prizes Achieved".
- There are nine different options in the "Prizes Achieved" section. Change all of them to 1. You can do this by double-clicking any values that are 0 (the far-right column) and which will bring up a box that says "what value to change this to?" and changing the value from 0 to 1.
- Find the "Lightning Struck" option (below the "Prizes Achieved" section). Change that value to 280.
- Find the "Total dodged lightning bolts" option. Change that value to 200.
- Find the "Highest dodged lightning bolts in a row" option. Change that value to 200.
That's all you need to do. It may seem complicated, but it's really not. Go back to the Inn at the Thunder Plains. There will be a treasure chest outside of the Inn-entrance for you to collect your prizes over-and-over until you've collected them all.I'm not gonna lie, itt does look complicated indeed, but as you detailed it so well i might give it a shot. Tks again.
I'm still curious to get a look at the mod though..
You're welcome. It really isn't complicated, I just broke it down into small, concise steps where I probably could have combined them. For example, I could have technically combined steps 11, 12, and 13 into a single step. And step 10 most likely isn't necessary, but it's easy). But this really is super easy to do. The hardest part of it is setting up your anti-virus exclusions because most anti-virus programs get scared of processes that hook into other processes.
Also, I think he's referring to this "mod". I don't like it for the following reasons:
Best of luck whatever you decide to do. Like I said earlier, there is an exploit that actually makes the lightning dodge super easy. Watch that video and try it out if you want. But use no encounters so you don't have to worry about getting into a battle while you're doing it. Encounters will probably make you lose count.
I have done this quest different ways on ps2 but every time my eyes have hated me for that.
Thanks for the link.i don't know if this is the mode "Ash" was talking about though, as he clearly said he was AFK for this quest. And apparently you cannot use this mod afk.
i'm at the end of the mihen highroad, i still have time to consider all options and i'm glad there seems to be some.
tks again and have fun if you still play this masterpiece game (except for the damm mini games :D)
