FF X-2 HD Remaster Complete Guide?
I don't really want to pay $100+ for the official Bradygames guide. Would the standard X-2 guide, often sold for $5-10, be ok or is there enough different that I would miss a lot? Is there a good, complete online guide? I don't mind sending it to Staples to print out if there is.

Look at GameFAQs, you're bound to find something good.
https://www.gamefaqs.com/ps3/643146-final-fantasy-x-x-2-hd-remaster/faqs

For the vanilla version, I used Split Infinity's Walkthrough, it's very detailed (though you might find it a little overwhelming). It also doesn't cover the extra stuff from the remaster version, but you can compliment it with other ones, such as KADFC's and KeyBlade999's FAQs.

For enemy steals, drops, etc, 'Enemy Encyclopedia' from SinirothX is great.

EDIT: Oh, but I wouldn't really recommend printing it, though, it's quite a bit of content. Saving the file on a tablet/laptop, picking more specific guides to what you want to accomplish, making a summary for yourself and then printing that could be some options.

Thanks. BeefyBuffalo's guide is good but I miss the info on hidden chests and items to pick up that BradyGames has in theirs. I'm not a 100% completionist but hate to miss items. I find if I use multiple guides I end up missing stuff. I may try your idea of combining a few guides into 1 printable book. At $0.10 per page it wouldn't be too terribly expensive. Otherwise getting the vanilla X-2 BradyGames guide for $5 and supplementing it with online guides might work.

I don't know why they don't reprint these guides, especially now that they've reissued all the games for PC!

PrimaGames is having a 50% off sale on their guides. It says it is "web/online only" but when I bought it, it sent me a pdf I could download and save. So, now I have the guide for $7.99 saved on my PC! It'll cost me $40 to print and 3-hole punch it which I may do later but we'll see

Don't pay money for this. There are amazing free guides, FAQs, and walkthroughs out there. Gamefaqs has a ton of them, and they're usually curated fairly well by user feedback (best check the highest-rated ones).

The PC version is identical to the PS3/4 remaster version, which in turn is practically identical to the old International Versions for PS2 (with one or two extremely minor and very technical differences) so you can follow old guides as well.

For $8, its worth it to me. The detailed maps, guides, layout style and thoroughness makes it much easier to follow than jumping around to a bunch of guides and trying to follow ansi art maps. There's too much stuff that I easily overlook that way. I bought all the books for $25 each back in the day so $8 seems like a pretty good deal imo.

You must have not been on the internet too terribly long, comrade. Remember, Google is your friend, most things you want you'll find for free.

Not only free, but often BETTER because of the wisdom of crowds. I guarantee you that however you draw a map, someone will be "WTF I don't get XYZ" and on the internet it takes about 3.14 seconds for someone to come along and explain it, or point out what they missed, or show a better way to do it.

Printed guides can't compete. They're dead. Online resources live and breathe, and change.

I looked around a lot and while there were plenty of walkthroughs and guides there was nothing I preferred over the original book plus they're works of art. And really, how much is a game from 2003 going to change?

While I could have used free resources and I'm sure they're adequate or perhaps even better in some areas, I'm totally happy wih my $8 purchase and would recommend any FF fans pick up the ebook guide for the game they're playing, especially if they're playing the game for the 1st time.

I can see why people need a guide for 10-2 this is one difficult FF and I've beat most of them.
