Make sure to play on Manual so you can decide where you're swimming. Enemies have reach, so you need to be a good distance away for them not to engage you. Be smart about how far to push through, you can see the player stats and compare to get an idea - but keep in mind that the comparison will always vary by ±50% to keep things a bit random.
You can assign skills before the game, and during halftime. For the very first match you play (during the story) you will be able to equip Jecht Shot for the 2nd half, but not for the 1st.
My strategy is using manual control, moving forward as far as I can while luring players into attacking me and then passing to a better positioned player. If I can, I always pass before two players can get to me. You will learn the timing. Just don't wait too long and remember that they have some reach. Anyway, I just move forward through the field like that until I've managed to lure away the defenders from one of my strikers and pass him the ball. Pretty much always leeds to a goal. Easy wins.
You get the option to set skills before a game starts. But players can only equip skills starting at level 3.
after Airship : hire brother , he can outswim everyone , let Brother collect all players and then pass to tidus so he can do either a jecht shot or a normal shot on the goal without any enemies around
