Wakka's Sigil
*sigh * I"ve just about had it. I have everyone else's sigils and their weapons are charged. I'm only missing Wakka's, but no matter what I seem to do, the Jupiter Sigil just isn't showing up as a prize.

I've even done the whole save progress, and reload to see if the prizes change and they never do. Besides cheating by using a program to specifically give me the Sigil, are there any other tried and true ways to get the stupid Sigil to show up as a prize?

You need all of his overdrives before the Sigil will show up as a prize. Also, you need to have participated in at least 450 battles since the beginning of the game.

Is there a way to check how many battles you've participated in? Besides, I can't get any of the Overdrives to crop up either. The only one I currently have is Attack Reels.

Don't know if this works on the Steam version but it did on console so they way I use to do it was save your game then goto play tournament and if the prize isn't what you want then reset. The Attack reels should pop up in prize list before too many tries as long as you have spent the time building your levels. Then go for the Status reels in league play(250 battles). Then back to tournament for the Aurochs reels with the 450 battles requirement meet.

There may be some extraneous way to check, but nothing inside the game, no. If you've completed most of the story, you should be comfortably past the required number, though. It only comes up if you try to get the Sigil very very early (which doesn't seem to be the case for you, and is pointless anyway, since you can't unlock the weapons until you have the airship) or if you've skipped an extraordinary amount of battles throughout the game (perhaps using the new no-encounters booster?).

Do note, though, that prizes will alternate between League and Tournament. There's a way to cut down on the number of games required if you use the BB reset option smartly (check a guide on that, there's plenty out there) but if you don't, be ready to play some extra games just to get through. Either way, you MUST acquire the overdrives in order (Attack Reels -> Status Reels -> Auroch Reels) before the Sigil becomes available as a prize. There's no way of skipping that (outside of cheating it in, of course).

It isn't just fighting lots of battles for the Reels and Sigil, it is battles using Wakka. If you don't normally use him, that would be part of the issue with getting his stuff.

Look, I'm hitting up Omega Dungeon right now. I'm doing extensive training in hopes to take on the Dark Aeons, so I'm not skimping on battles and I use all the characters.

Uggh...this is going to take forever.

I'm pretty sure I've read some testing on that way back, and they came to the conclusion that it is in fact total battles, with or without Wakka. But I might just be remembering wrong, it's been ages.

Personally, I've never ever in 10 years been at the point where I did not have enough battles just playing the story normally.
