Way to mod Lulu's overdrive?
Well, I know that Lulu's overdrive rotations get easier the higher her magic stat is and stuff, but in most situations it is not really worth using since they dont do full damage like a spell would normally do and you can doublecast normal spells, generally resulting in superior damage.

For purely fun and roleplay purposes, would it be possible to mod the game in order for the fury casts to do full damage/the rotations become easier allowing more casts? Maybe some sort of script? Idk...

I don't think I have seen any. Yeah her Overdrive is probably the weakest which is quite depressing.

It should be POSSIBLE, but I have no idea how the technical details would look.

I always took Lulu's Furies to be a party or multi-piece boss destroyer; it just never really gets to do that in practice. Though I find Drain Fury to be marvelously multifaceted.

It's worth noting that the keyboard input (left and right) is far more forgiving than an analog stick; you can easily get at least two more casts off.

Swear to Yevon I whip that stick around like 10-20 times, game registers like 6-7 every time.

That's how the overdrive works. Depending on what spell you pick and how high Lulu's Magic stat is, the number of turns required to up the counter by one varies. Lower-level spells tend to yield more than higher-level spells, and a low Magic stat will make you need more turns than a high Magic stat. There's certain breakpoints for this which you can look up if you like - but as was already said, the overdrive is so terrible you're mostly better off just casting normally...
use cheatengine to max her magic stat before you use fury then change it back to its original value afterwards?

finding cheat tables online is pretty easy and this game is quite popular so i'm sure someone has already done the work for ya :p

Even at max MAG, this overdrive is underwhelming. It's passable during story play, where you can combine hits into a big overkill hit, but even at -Ra magic it's barely better than hardcasting the spell due to the diminished damage per hit and the high turn delay. This only gets worse as the game progresses, and by the time you have actually damaging spells, it's unbearable - a Fury using Ultima is the single slowest action in the entire game and will delay Lulu's next turn by massive amounts. All the while you can just use Double Cast to actual devastating effect, without the delay or hassle of breaking your controller with centrifugal force.

well sure, there's not many practical reasons you'd ever want to use fury but op asks

so i provide answer. it is possible to hack atleast, and i assume if its for roleplay, he wants it for story content and not really for end game content

Yeah, it was mostly for the main storyline. I have completed the game a couple times on the PS2 and I really wanted to make her overdrive useful this time, at least during the story content. But I have ended up getting to the endgame a bit sooner then I thought I would this time =( ...

Which makes me wonder if it would be able to mod it/hack it even further: taking out a dark aeon with a 12+ Ultima fury string (modded to do full/more damage than a normal fury cast) would feel awesome hahahaha

I personally never cared enough to do this, but I know it can be done with AHK - Autohotkey. thing is Im not a coder, and because of the lack of motivation -In my runs Yuna is the stronger Bmage- I never really learned it.
But Ive seen tons of AHK scripts that moves or presses buttons, I made an experiment with AHK and Trigger happy skill in x-2 and it worked fine.
This will however force you learn how to code, at least basic, unless you already know it, otherwise I do remember they do have great guides on the homepage.
