how should i grind Aeons ?

i know you can increase their stats , but it costs alot items so , whats the ideal way to make them strong and not just waste items

same goes for teaching them abilities , which ones are usually worth it ?

Ifrit, Shiva, and Ixion: Give em the 3 spells of their element, and/or Cure spells. Other Aeons want Cure spells. All Aeons would eventually want Haste, as well as Flare and/or Quick Hit

Win lots of fights, power up Yuna, and the Aeons will get stronger. Their stats are based on her stats, and notably have better Strength than she does. If you are playing on the Expert grid, throwing Yuna down some sort of Strength heavy section will turn her Aeons into absolute beasts :D

Leave the stat boosts using spheres for later, unless you can afford to spend some on a preferred Aeons stats. Once you can use the Arena properly, you can farm the various spheres easier, which makes grinding up Aeons easier.

Aeons scale off of Yuna's stats, to a degree, so simply level Yuna. You do not actually have to USE the aeons in fights, simply increasing Yuna's stats will increase their stats. At maximum stat levels on Yuna, most aeons will be at or near their respective maximums as well. The more powerful the aeon, the more quickly their stats rise - while Valefor may not reach 255 even when Yuna has it, e.g. Bahamut will max out WAY before Yuna does. In fact, leveling Yuna aggressively as a fighter on Auron's, Tidus', or Wakka's path in the Sphere Grid from the very start of the game will allow you to do ludicrous amounts of damage with your aeons very quickly. Show Belgemine how it's REALLY done, eh?
