But don't worry, the best gear is all crafted. Store-bought doesn't hold a candle.
well , a store bought weapon with % Attack and 2 empty Slots is quite good since you can craft quite a really good weapon with it , i got an Attack +18% weapon for tidus at bevelle right now
If you buy a weapon with desirable traits on it that means you don't have to use rare items or spheres. I'm trying not to cheat or use the internet to look up things on my first playthrough so that means I might not get the rare items to craft with.
I assuming then that he does dissapear from Gagazet. Does he sell the same items later? because usually with o'aka it changes inventory next time you meet.
Be aware, though, that as soon as you get into the Monster Arena you'll be drowning in stuff you suddenly get x99 of as a reward, so you'll be able to customize most things fairly easily. Also, at the point you're at you're almost getting into Celestial Weapon territory, which are beyond compare and beat out any crafted/bought weapon by astronomical margins.
Also, weapon stats are actually less impactful in this game than they are in many others. The difference between a no-ability starting weapon and a store-bought weapon at the late stages of the game is very, very small.
