What should i do with kimahri ?
i always used the Expert grid where i first sent him to Rikku and then go to Yunas section around the Gil stealing ability , what should i do on standard grid ? give him steal and Use , then learn Tier 1 Black Magic and then to yuna or where exactly should i send him , the standard grid is kinda cofusing for me

Whatever you want, really.

His Standard grid pretty much requires turning him into a stat/skill clone of someone else.

If you want to use him, pick a chunk of grid for him to use, possibly ignoring that character as well. Alternately, just ignore Kimahri.

As ShinkuTear already wrote it's pretty much up to taste. I admit that I tend to neglect Kimahri a little.

On the standard grid, most people send him to Rikku's path first to get early access to steal and use and to get those L3 key spheres in the Kimahri exclusive battle. But after that there are a lot of choices:
1. Rikku's path all the way
2. Rikku's path up to mug and then switch to Lulu. Lulu will be of course be the better mage at this point but you can grab the basic dark magic and the extra MP which can also be used for mugging.
3. Start with 2 and then switch him to Yuna like you wrote. But I think if you grab the basic white magic with Tidus when he passes by Yuna's grid, you have enough healing and don't need Kimahri as white mage.
4. Grab Steal, Use and optionally mug and the basic black magic and then switch to Tidus or Wakka for physical damage. You can also switch from Tidus' first grid 'cricle' to the later parts of Auron's grid by using a L2 key sphere.

i thought about doing that with Tidus , but i dont have a L2 key sphere

I don't know where you are in the game, but from a short search it seems the first time you get a L2 key sphere is the boss in Macalania Forest. So I guess Auron route isn't an early option for Kimahri.

What to do with Kimahri:

1. Grab Steal
2. Steal from Biran and Yenke until you have enough L.3 Key Spheres to last you a lifetime
3. Never touch the character ever again

enough ?

how many times can you steal from them ? i never use steal on the same enemy more than once
ramsza Aug 12, 2017 @ 3:51pm
You can steal/mug from an enemy multiple times. But I think with every successful(?) steal the chance for another successful steal halfes. So you can steal from a boss successfull maybe 3-5 times before it's not worth continuing because the chance is too low (and only so often if the steal item is worth the trouble, otherwise don't bother).
If the Ronsos don't give you too much trouble you can try to steal/mug successfully 3+ times from each (Haste and lanced Mighty Guard help) then you should have enough L3 spheres to last till you get the airship. Then you can get unlimited L3 key spheres from the Omega Ruins.

Since they can't kill you in a million years, I like to just sit there a while and spam Steal while hasted. Probably not all that efficient, since you don't really need THAT many L.3 keys. But it's my tradition at this point.

First of all Kimahri is practically useless and you will only use him in one battle that the game forces you to use him for really. However lets assume you wanna "main" him then these are my observations/advice:

The best team is Rikku (for her mix overdrive, steal/use, her speed, and getting gillionaire), Wakka (for the best all round stats and his attack reels overdrive plus ranged attacks), and Tidus (for flee provoke haste cheer etc). This team is also the only one that can face shinryu in the arena so if you main someone else youre only gonna have to grid max one of these later on to fight shinryu.

You would have to replace one of these to main kimahri and my vote goes to tidus because mix and attack reels cant be replaced despite the fact his overdrives are second best attacking wise). Doing this for kimahri would basically give you all tidus abilities plus blue magic overdrive. Just teach him steal from rikkus grid via a special sphere

A lot send him down rikkus path so you have someone able to start stealing/using before rikku joins bit honestly I dont see the point as the materials are not that hard to come by and rikku doesnt take that long to join

The big reason for getting Kimahri to Steal is simply the fact that you can spend half an hour with Yenke/Biran loading up on Lvl. 3 Key Spheres, which ARE a bottleneck at the time you get to that fight (at least on the Expert Grid). Stealing other things is incidental, and probably not even worth your time. Maybe a bomb here and there.

1. Yep!
2. Yep!
3. That's a little heartless ...

Don't forget to steal a few fire gems in the Calm Lands to ensure an overkill on Biran and Yenke. And I usually this battle multiple times in order to obtain Friend Spheres ...
