99 warp spheres pattern
i found a pattern :

first i went to the 2 chests on the right , opened the 2nd (right) one then the 1st (left) one
then i went to the southern left corner opened the middle one first then right then left
next went to the circle with the 4 Chests and opened them counter clock whise starting in the south left corner and lastly i went to the remaining 3 chests which i opened : middle , left , right

it took me like 50-60 tries but it really seemed like a working pattern , theres probably more patterns that work but i sticked with that one because i atleast knew half of it after a few tries

important note , i often had to reload 5-7 times until i got that pattern a 2nd time

There have been various patterns and time counting patterns suggested but none could be proofed to work all the time. But basically it's up to luck with a chance of 1/240 to get all 12 chests without trap/mimic.

In every of the four areas you have a change of 1/(N+1) to have no trap where N is the number of chests in that area. So the total chance to get all 12 chests is 1/3 * 1/4 * 1/4 * 1/5 = 1/240. Every time you load a save the random/traps are redone.

I got pretty luck and got the 99 warp spheres after about 30 tries when I already had lowered my goal to at least 8 chests. I think I started with the 3 chests in the soutwest, then the 3 in northwest, then the four chest northeast and finally the 2 chests southeast

i know its up to luck i got a mimic like every 2nd or 3rd try on the 2nd chest , sometimes even the first

so uhm , what should i do with them now ?
ramsza Jul 23, 2017 @ 2:30pm
You can use them to get to get to abilities with strong locks, e.g. ultima or break all, without the need for unlock spheres. Or if you need to backtrack on the board (e.g. for auto-life or luck spheres) or just want to go to the start of a path (e.g. aurons path) you can just jump there.

i use the expert grid , should i for now just save them until i get grinding weapons ? i already have all monsters in the yojimbo cave so i can use don tomberry farming later , i first thought about unlocking all locked abilities , but most arent really needed so i guess i keep them for fast Late Game leveling

(i tried the one ability after rikkus path ( expert) and it was just useless , never used most extra abilities

Use them as you like their use is pure optional and if you want to do stat maxing you probably want to destroy the locks anyway to free up space. The warps sphere are completly optional, they can just help, e.g. to get to get the strong abilities/spells behind locks to help with farming and the monstes at the farm.

Btw, for the Don Tombery trick a weapon with Overdrive -> AP is enough for the start and you can get the doors to tomorrow for customization easily by getting 6 areas collections. Double/Triple Overdrive and Double/Triple AP are pure optional and require quite a bit of farming which is easier after some powering up. The weapons with 4 free slots can be bought at the start of Macalania Forest (the mony should be easy to get at in the Omega area).

thanks , 1 last question , whats the fastest way to get Gil , i already tought Rikku the ability to steal Gil , but since i always cheated Gil i dont know the best spots to farm gil , i can just bribe monsters once i have enough gil ( i know it will take long but im in a grinding mood)

once i have enough gil i can also start with blitzball so i dont run out of money after a short time

For starters use the Omega area as I said before. Preferably get a weapon with double gil (Rikku's celestial weapon has it if you already have it), but that is optional. In the Omega Ruins there is a frequent encounter with one monster and a treasure chest. When you steal from the chest there is a chance (50/50 I think) for it turning into a mimic instead of opening and giving you an item. Killing the mimic gives you 50k gil, 100k with double gil. The equiment drops from the other Omaga monsters can sell for a nice price too.

Later when you are powered up and have some starting money you can kill the monsters at the farm and sell their drops. Another way which requires a lot of starting money is to buy a bunch of empty 4 slot armors, then defeat a certain monster at at the farm (I cannot remember which right now, one of the area creations I think) a few times which drops the ingredients for auto-regen, then craft that on the armors. This will make the armors so valuable that you can sell one for over 200k which means a win of about 100k per crafted armor.

okay thanks , and i already have all celestial weapons on max except for wakka and auron ( i cheated the Lightning counter to be honest)

Warp Spheres are so overrated tbh. By the time you're at endgame, you're better off not wasting time reloading 100 times to get the spheres and just farming AP/gil instead to get to Don Tonberry. After that point, AP is basically infinite and free anyway, and sphere keys are a dime a dozen.

i never got them legit before and i wanted to do it once
i agree that its much easier to just grind ap , i already have a a few weapons but for now i need to farm gil so i can afford bribing
