don tonberry help

I am doing the don tonberry ap method but everytime i flee I don't get AP. I am too weak to kill don tonberry right now? did they patch the flee method or what am I doing wrong?

edit: I dont have tripple ap item b/c also to weak to kill one eye

nvm u have to attack don tonberry with target char then flee
also if u have 2 chars with autopheonix after don stops using krama u can set battle to auto and w8 for free AP

Uh, since this is the PC version, can't you just edit your savegame and give yourself the AP manually? Same result, except you don't have to look at the battle screen for 30 minutes doing nothing.

There is no cheat police. Sitting there on auto-battle for 30 minutes until everyone has 99 AP is not exactly playing the game, either. Save 30 minutes of your life and get the exact same end result, I say.

Get Nirvana
Go to Omega Ruins and use summons to get double exp on Yuna
Yuna grows stronger
Use magus sisters to kill one eye

you need to grind until you are strong enough to beat one eye. No chance to do the ap method without tripple ap weapon drop from one eye + the modifications to the weapon you are required to put on the two empty slots. I just used it and titus oneshotted ultima weapon and took down omega himself :P

I basically have only done the ap method twice with Titus so he is a monster, with perma haste gear and auto potion

the way I did it was create a mock version of Double overdirve/Double AP/overdrive to AP on Tidus, then levelled him up till he could solo one eye, then farmed that, bam. Really speed up the manual process. (unless you do auto battle, but also speeds that up) Always killed the tornberry too, never flee'd myself. Saved on gil when you also got the drop.
