Wakka Element Reels & Sigil
I swear I did 250 Battles, atleast, enough to get the status reels, yet it has not shown up in League Prizes, I already won the Weapon, I just need the reels, & sigil, I did the Reset method & bam, Status Reels were there, but its nearly impossible to get, with the stats restarted on my team, & lost my best team,

I still have my Best Blitz Ball Team, I swear I have 250 battles won,

would any of the steam cheats effect this cause I even have x4 speed, battle on frequently, & auto attack.... to make fighting faster, but still no status reels, ???? help?

Just to be clear, Wakka participated in all of those battles correct? It might seem silly, but that really is the easiest thing to overlook. He has to do at least one action (even if it is just block) in all 250 of them.

What exactly seems to be the problem? From what you are saying a reset DOES make it show up, so you obviously have enough battles. Why not just get it after the reset? Recruit people again and grab it, Blitz is the easiest at low levels.

The reels will not appear as an option on every tournament. Resetting the game will not cause it to appear either, but there is a resetting trick within the blitzball portion you can do too. Otherwise this info from Gamefaqs:

"To get Wakka's overdrives other than the first one you will have to win them as a tournament prize or a league prize.

Attack Reels appears 'first' as a tournament first place prize.

Status Reels appears 'next' as a league first place prize once you have won Attack Reels.

Aurochs Reels appears as a tournament first place prize after you have won Status Reels.

The Jupiter Sigil appears as a league first place prize after you have obtained Aurochs Reels

There are some 'secondary' requirements for getting the Status Reels and Aurochs Reels overdrives. Wakka must have participated in 250 battles or more in order for Status Reels to appear as a blitzball prize. Wakka must have appeared in 450 battles or more for Aurochs Reels to appear as a blitzball prize."

"If you don't really care about getting your players to lvl 99, you can use the reset data option over and over till the reels and eventually sigil turns up, and just play that season/tournament through to get it. Keep in mind though that if you attracted other players than the aurochs, you'll lose them, and go back to the team setup you had when you played the Luca Goers during the storyline. Don't forget to save before you start the tournament, in case you lose."

Credit goes to AZorro007 and kasawagi respectively on that front.

so if I reset my data, for blitz ball, I can get my same team back, without waiting for contracts to expire, everything you said is very helpful but that part.

Well if you're having trouble winning you can kind of cheese it if you have to. Each game get a point over the other team, get the ball to a decent defender, and just hide behind your goalie until the time runs out. You might get harassed by one of the other teams forwards once, but after the block they'll go away. Repeat for second half.

As far as re-recruiting you might not be able to get everyone, but there are some good players not on contract you can grab if that is a problem. Wakka, Brother, and Wedge (Luca Main Gate) for instance. Also: Ropp (Best defender in the game overall) found at Mi'hen Highroad Inn; and Naida (Calm Lands - Good defender, not as good as Ropp stats wise, but is very fast). Jumal is a good starting goalie unless you're set on Keepa, found in the Luca Square.

That may be a lot of back and forth, but you could grab each of them after each reset for the right number of games and not blow a lot of gil.

would the , x4 speed or any of those cheats effect the 250 battles & would they count if activated?
ECWeideman Mar 6, 2017 @ 10:37am
Those should not effect the battle counter, on or off. The only trick to that is that Wakka HAS to perform at least one action in each of those 250 battles. If the Status Reels shows up even once though, you do have enough battles for that respective Reel.

EDIT: If you have auto-attack on you may want to make sure Wakka is fast enough to be getting at least one hit in per battle, if not you can always just kill off one or both of the other characters to ensure he gets the credit [or give him a weapon with First Strike].

The reels and sigil are randomized as rewards, they do not appear just because you meet the criteria. But you can reset the blitzball stuff until it randomly shows up as the prize, grab your team, and (after saving) try to nab them. It is either that, or play continually until they finally show up as a prize.

From ELS on Reddit:

Also, you don't need to relearn Jecht Shot when you reset data. I forgot what strategy guide these instructions came from, but here are the complete steps in case you need clarification:

1.) Hire players for three games.
2.) Enter and exit BB menu until Attack Reels appears as a Tournament prize.
3.) Play and win Attack Reels.
4.) Reset Data until Status Reels appears as a League Prize.
5.) Hire players for thirteen games.
6.) Play and win Status Reels.
7.) Enter and exit BB menu until Auroch Reels appears as a Tournament prize.
8.) Play and win Auroch Reels.
9.) Reset Data until Jupiter Sigil appears as a League Prize.
10.) Hire players for ten games.
11.) Play and win Jupiter Sigil.

There's also teams that can easily be recruited without waiting out contracts that will still WRECK the enemy setups. The most important players are Tidus and Brother anyway, the rest is nearly irrelevant...

Oh there's an outstanding player for every position that has no active contract, for sure. Ropp is one of them (arguably THE best defender in the game, even). But really, Brother and Tidus tend to just win the game by themselves :P
