Caladbolg glitch?

No matter how many times I win the chochobo race the guy will not budge. Not to menttion when i returned to the calm lands to get it my chocobo data had reset and when i did the race again and won he did not move. I also went back to macalania and the sidequest there to get the celestial mirror had also reset. Any help?

That sounds like a real problem with your data files. Have you checked that the installation isn't damaged in some way?

Did you get your time 0.0.0 (or lower)? Simply winning wont do it.

False, sorta. There are 2 different rewards related to the race. Getting a time better than the trainer is supposed to let you access the area with Caladbolg, which you can then loot if you have the Celestial Mirror. Getting a time better than 00:00:00 causes the trainer to hand you the Sun Sigil, used to upgrade Caladbolg.

My bad, it's been a while since I've done the challenge. I was going off of memory. My guess now is the mod(s) is causing the glitch.

I figured it out. So the chocobo race im guessing was a bit of save corruption and when i re did it its corrupted the save further by resetting macalania woods's mingames and the monster arena. I tried to just beat the game but highbridge compeletley disapeared from the airship menu. I reverted to an earlier save and got my progress back but i skipped doing the chocobo races over again and everything is fine now. I just save edited in the caladbolg because the quest bugged out
