Main reason is because I think its sometimes confusing, it looks like your teammate is in a room or on site, but when you walk in, you get killed and realize the teammate is afk outside.
I would use outlines if they turned on at some close distance and was off past that.
I do the same for this exact reason. I domed my teammate in the back of the head during a stressful 2 v 4.... it quickly became a 1 v 4 after that lol.
As you can see, I don't like it from both ways. I don't like seeing people who are trying to hide, and I don't like people seeing me when I'm trying to be a bit more sneaky with my positioning. All the outline does is makes this game even more of a fast-paced/flick shooter and less of a tactical shooter because you can't even have the drop on someone when you have the drop on someone because "muh enemy highlights".
