How to link Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege(from uplay) to steam!!!!

So like you I too was having a issue linking Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege to steam because it gave me some error saying "catastrophic error." To fix this problem it is simple just open up UPLAY and RIGHT CLICK the game you want to add in my case it was Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege select view folder and copy the adress that is up above. Once you have done that next open up add a non steam game select browse and paste in the address you just aquired. Scroll down in the folder until you see Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege application and click it and select open. Add it to steam like any other on steam game and you are done. Finally you can rename the game if you like!!

The address i got for my computer is
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

This isn't linking, this is you finally figuring out what "Add a non-steam game" does.

To link steam and uplay siege you must buy another copy of siege on steam (I reccomend the starter edition as its cheapest). Once you do this you will merge steam and uplay for siege).

I did it and i have RainbowSix in my library when i launch it, it launches the game from ubisoft connect and it doesn't count as Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege on steam did i do something wrong?
