Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Why is R6 using ~85% of my CPU?!
I have an i5 6600k @ 3.3 GHZ and I do not have problems with any other games that are CPU intensive. I want to stream this game, but I literally can't because of how much CPU the game is eating up, so I am dropping frames when I am streaming, and the stream is freezing because of it. I do not have FPS problems with the game, it just is annoying how I cannot stream this game because of the amount of processing power it is using up :(

I could stream other games just fine with no framedrops - it is so annoying how I cannot stream this game specifically though...
I have no answer for you on this one, but lower the resolution for better frames, it doesn't matter too much if graphics are on low xD

ya i run the game on all low settings, 80 Render Scaling, 0 TAA Sharpness, 16:9, 1920x1080

there is times when it spikes up to 100% usage which is insane...

simply put, the 6600k is not a streaming cpu so there's nothing out of the ordinary.

but yourboyspicynips it doesnt make any sense how i could stream games like counter strike which is CRAZY cpu intensive and it is just fine... or Battalion 1944 which is also very CPU demanding and it is just fine and I am under 60% usage...

I have a 6600 and I get 60% usage with all low 1080p 100 Render Scaling and 100 TAA sharpness. It should be some background program or gpu driver settings

sounds like your gonna have to upgrade man, you need more processing power when it comes to streaming
you can upgrade to the i7 7700/7700k if you dont want to change your motherboard
if your fine with buying a new motherboard i would reccomend a ryzen 7 3700/3700x/3800/3800x
if you have the extra cash you should go with the ryzen 9 3900

but anyways, do you have any background tasks open?

And a TB drive for my games and other downloads
Maybe rainbow was designed for i7 generation to run with lower cpu usage, is form 2015.
Instead, you could stream rocket league for example, or something that doesn't drop fps.
I have my laptop with i5 7300, 8 gb ddr 4 and gtx 1050 4 gb vram, windows 10 pro.
I can run any game, but some of them on lowered resolutions.
In r6s i get 80-90 fps, all settings on low, but when i start recording i have 5-10 fps and lagging very bad, wich is why i cannot become na youtuber for the moment.
But sometime later i will buy a nice gaming pc to stream and share the world my adventures.
Till then, I keep it for myself xD
