What's the rate at which you gain Renown?
So I'm thinking of getting Rainbow Six Seige Starter Edition, and I'm not against grind. But I am wondering just how grindy this whole experience really is. So what's the rate at wich you earn Renown, preferably in Terrorist Hunt?

Well, there are boosters, but around 1000 / hr in general isn't too far off

Include challenges and you will increase the rate by even more.

So unlocking a new operative at 12,500 is roughly less than 12 hours?
I gotta say, that sounds pretty nuts.

BTW are boosters paid? And how much renown do challenges give you?

Boosters are paid, used to be with Renown but now it's R6 credits only.

Challenges give you 150 Renown per and you get up to 3, unless you get the Season Pass (then it's five)

Thunt is good for renown grind. With a good team, you can get 1200-1500 renown per hour. However, I must warn you that if you want to play it, get 4 other friends to play since the queue is horrendously long.

I got a free booster for joining up, was useful. You get anywhere from 150-250 from challenges, I believe. 2 challenges every 8 hours. And the new ops cost 25000 a piece btw, not 12500.

25000?! Holy Christ, I'm starting to question whether this is worth it at all...

Actually reading the FAQ I think all the new ones that will arrive really ARE 25,000.

But the basic ones are 12,500. And that seems very excessive at 1,000 per hour.

Honestly you hardly notice, and I grinded for 25k lol
The game is so enjoyable you find yourself forgetting that you're grinding :D

The Queue times used to be long. Even now with when i play at 3 and 4 in the morning i don't have to wait longer than 3 to 4 minutes for a match and during prime hours way less than that usually.

I give Ubisoft props for finally managing to make the game a fun experience and probably my favorite shooter to come out in many many years.
