Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Controls glitch
I just bought the starter pack, and I'm not playing multiplayer because I want to get the tutorials out of the way first. I've noticed a problem. Whenever I start running (Shift key) my character crouches, (Which is the C key, but I'm not even pressing the C key.) the observation view opens (Which is 5, but I'm not pressing 5) and the chat for 'all' opens (Which is the Y key, but I'm not pressing the Y key either.)

I can get around this problem by proning and standing up with the Ctrl key, but I want a good solution because I'm getting pissed off.

Does anybody know how to fix this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

The problem was Windows' Sticky Keys. Go to Control Panel, then go to Ease of Access (Accessebility), go to Keyboard and turn off Sticky Keys. (Or turn all of them off)

Unplug all of your input devices (keyboards, mice, and controllers) Then start adding them one at a time for testing purposes.

Go to C:\Users\Your User \Documents\My Games\Rainbow Six - Siege\Long File name
and delete the GameSettings.ini file inside and reboot game and see if that fixes it, but when you boot only have ur Keyboard and Mouse plugged in to your PC's USB/PS2 ports

I'll try that tomorrow, thanks.

Didn't work either, but thanks anyway. You gave me the idea to mess around a bit in the game files to fix this issue.

I had a similar issue, the problem was in the windows keyboard settings, had to change the language settings to UK, because when I was using my native one, the binding for gadgets etc was showing wrong keys and couldn't use them at all. Try that.

It happens, when you use the ult Win7 edition and installed a different language pack.

it would be awesome if there was a fix for this because i too have this bug except instead of the sprint button its the side mouse buttons and it also pings along with crouching, opening all chat, and opening the scoreboard. and, if its relevant, i own this game on Uplay, not steam

Can somebody help me? There seems to be a problem when I control Echo's drone (Yokai). I am not able to use its sonic burst. I know the default for this is left click but it doesn't seem to work on me. I have tried pressing all of the keys of my laptop but still I can't seem to find the key for the sonic burst. Thanks guys.

You're welcome. It blows my mind that this problem and its solution haven't been pinned on the discussion board yet, or that that R6S hasn't been updated to override the Windows sticky keys notification.
