Hipfire should not be capable of headshots.
Give me one good reason why random spray should be able to instantly kill anybody at any range with literally no aim required, especially in a competitive-focused game such as Siege.

because hitting a headshot when spraying on the hip at medium to long range is so rare that it doesn't matter. Really, it isn't an issue. If you want to fight at any range beyond 10m, you will ADS. Hipfire headshots aren't an issue

"It doesn't happen often" is not a good reason lol

just because it doesn't completely ruin the game, doesn't mean it has any right to remain

Do you? I just want to know why, from a game design and balance perspective, the ability to instantly kill somebody without aiming just because RNG said so has any right to remain in a competitive FPS like Siege.

who hipfire headshotted you? The hipfire mechanic today is better than before! Players used to main Montagne and his revovler and just ace with 5 hipfire headshots because the mechanic was broken.

So you mean any headshot from hipfire shouldn't be able to kill a person?
It's random for a reason, that's why hipfire headshot is rarely a thing.

And also if you say RNG isn't a thing in competitive game (in general), consider MOBO games where RNG is also a part of the game. Is it random? Yes, but does it always happen? No, that's why it's completely balanced if you ask me.

Now may i ask, why would a shot that is aimed do more damage than a hipfired? That makes no sense. It doesn't matter if the guy aimed or not, you got shot in the head nonetheless

Hey there!

In a game where one bullet can kill, I can totally see where your frustration is coming from if you die to hip fire. The truth is that when not ADS'ing, bullets have an unpredictable spread and can go a number of different ways. We tweaked hipfire accuracy a bit ago, but if you have a video that I could take a look at, I'd appreciate it!

Nice to see that people can't come up with anything besides "it's balanced because it doesn't happen often"

I really don't care whether or not it's realistic.

Look, I've already answered what's wrong with it, I want somebody to answer what's right with it.

you are way less likely to hit a headshot when hipfiring than when aiming properly, so you are literally at a disadvantage if you hipfire and not aim, what tf are you mad about honestly

well duh you're at a disadvantage, you're playing like an idiot. Which is exactly why you shouldn't be randomly rewarded for it when you're fighting against somebody who's smarter and better than you.
