OUTBREAK PACKS - outrage (UPDATE 15/02)
With the new information released about the outbreak operation it seems a bit cheeky of them for the following.

"The Outbreak Packs can only be acquired for 300 R6 Credits each"

You get 14 packs for free (10 for advanced edition + 4 on login day)

**edit** you only get 10 packs if you buy the game from when the editions swaps** - standard edition will get 4/50 packs. !!!!

With no duplicates it makes 46 packs (skins) left to get.
46x300 = 13800

Thats a lot of money to be honest and i think its very rude of them to make it only that you get the packs for 300 each.

I think they should make packs a different chance for completing the missions of doing daily outbreak missions.
I just feel a bit stolen.

What do you guys think?
We should be able to earn all event cosmetics without being forced to purchase them.
=================================================================

EDIT #2: After the released statement, the goal of this thread is to make ubisoft understand that we do not want only paid lootboxes. We should be able to purchase them with renown!
The aspect of the lootbox might be fun sometimes but not if it's a real money slot machine, especially with no re-sale value to the skins.

*If we let them pass this one up, they will see it as a chance to ♥♥♥♥♥ us more in the butt, they will see that the "community" doesn't care and that they can proceed making the same moves but with higher prices and such - It's something we shall try to avoid*
====================================================================

UPDATE: 15.02.18 - Ubisoft has not replied yet about the concerns of the Outbreak packs being purchasable with R6 credits only even though they have said they'll discuss it between them and reply about the spoken subject. We're a few weeks from the event. Let's hope for the best.

MORE INFORMATION TO COME

The entire "skin economies" that games are using to just dredge money out of players is just bad. I thought the alpha pack system was a great idea because they could NOT be purchased with real money in any way, but now they pull this ♥♥♥♥. "Let's do a bit of texture work and sap people for as much money as we can... after they've probably already all bought our, what, $30 season passes <each year>."

Once you buy an item and then cannot sell it, it means it has no value. It might cost you 300, but if you can't sell it back, it costs 0. The only value that the item may have is sentimental which i've already responded about the topic. No resell value = no value on the market = no value.

Ever heard of "You get what you paid for" and that some things cannot be refunded? It's like as if one were to purchase a game on Steam, but they don't like the game and surpassed the 2-hour deadline to refund the game. Having something of value goes down to one's actions.

And now we go back to subjectivity...

If you buy something with no resell value how much does it worth?
At how much you value it at, and thats called sentimental value.

The fact of the matter none of my arguments have been debunked.

I could go over them all again, but hey there all still here in this thread. When you can actually debunk one of my arguments then I'll be quite surprised.
Thats how ECONOMICS works.
I mean I haven't seen any of your points so a quick recap of your points would be appreciated so I can view them and see what I can say about them, do remember that I already said that you cannot say

* They need the money
* You get enough free stuff
* Just don't buy it

Outbreak packs have a specific target audience. You arn't one of them. Obviously. However there inclusion in no way effects you. The cosmetics would not exist if not for the outbreak packs so they arn't taking cosmetics away from you. It is entirely extra. Which has been pointed out many times. If you don't any value in them DON'T BUY THEM. Notice I still say that depsite you going "you can't say don't buy it" Thats because that is how economics actually works. These lootboxes arn't for you. Not everything made is. So if you don't want them don't buy them. It really is that simple. And you attempting to make it less simple is laughable.

LUL but I already said that there are 2 types of value, but were talking about MARKET skin value since real currency is at stake, on top of that - that was his point, value as in M O N E Y.
This is getting stale.

Market Skin Value? There is no siege skin market. The value of skins is up to the eye of the beholder. People buy things based on whether they find value in owning it. Limited sales can boost percieved value of an item in some peoples eyes (cough collectors cough). If items didn't have worth (even if they couldn't be resold) they wouldn't be sold in the first place because no one would buy them.

The cosmetics would not exist if not for the outbreak packs so

I mean, this event wouldn't exist if people wouldn't buy Y3 pass or previous passes. But we won't go there.

We buy the game, the game has a community, we as the consumer have the right to argue with the moves the company is making.
You can't say that every move a company has is justified or is "good" for the consumer.
If ubi didn't care, if the people didn't care there wouldn't be a community.
Target audience is the COMMUNITY therefore we as the COMMUNITY discuss it and if we don't like it, we say it like it is.

it doesnt affect me? it does and i stated how i view this. you may call it a "slippery slope" but i've already discussed it.
I won't grind the same stone again. meh.

Nah, your urge and the others do deny the fact that this is NOT GOOD is stale. You can't bring a good reason for us to say "yes, this is a GREAT move, let them do it" so far. Then again, you can just LEAVE (just as you say DONT BUY) I mean, it's optional.

The target audience isn't the community. Its a subsection of the community. What you've failed to show though is how these outbreak packs are bad for the community though. And yes lets bring up the fact that they only dicerning argument you've made about it is that this "could" replace all other skins in the future and be the only system in place in the future. You know with out any evidence to support that. Even these outbreak packs were informed to the community long before they were even implenmented. (see alpha packs) So your "slipper sloap" argument will hold merit when they actually inform us about there decision to make such a change (which is when we should have that kind of discussion)

Mythic 14 FEB 2018 a las 2:18 p. m.
My view: These packs have 0 market value and the only value it has is what you put it at. These packs give cosmetics which provide 0 advantage in the game and are only for the look of it. These skins are all just as rare as eachother.
