Its the zoomer generation. Everything fast, right now, not earned, give it to me for little effort. It will be the downfall of society. (okay maybe not, but it sure ain't helping)

Honestly this is so true. No one wants to spend any quality time in anything anymore. Its give it to me now or im done with you lol. I'm glad the devs dont bend to that kind of mentality. Its a refreshing thought to have a game that is worth putting quality time into.
I already put the quality time into getting my carrier. Took me 2 months to get all the credits. Now I want to be able to relax while using it, without having to mine for long periods of time to 'restock'. Ive done the grind. It's still a grind. I don't want it 'now now now' like you seem to steryotype us by. Carriers should leave some time to enjoy the game, not force players into mining or explo 24/7. Once again, don't say bring a squad. Squads can't donate money.

You know that tritium hotspots, especially overlapping, aren't working as intended. Yet instead of committing to fix it, you instead just make it so carriers use half the normal trit amount. That's not a fix, that's a workaround.

They didn't unterstood what they were doing in the first place - but the fix has the nice side effect of being able to travel further without doing mining at all. The wiki says 68 tonnes / 500 Ly for an empty carrier. Ignoring the weight increase that would be about 294 jumps or 147000 Ly for a cargo hold of 20000 tonnes. Double the fuel cost for a fully loaded carrier and it's still more than enough for a one way trip to Beagle Point - you can take a depart and probably refuel at Colonia.
I'm one of those entitled babies i guess. Months of grind just to grind some more is lame. Instead of lowering profit from mining to "balance" the game why not raise the income from everything else. I have enough daily grind just to survive in the real world. Elite Dangerous has become a time sink with no rewards.

My carrier pays for itself each week wihtout me doing ANY kind of mining or grinding at all, it sits and makes money. It also restocks itself as well. And no its not from a squad. Maybe learn how to use it more and all the things it can do before complaining about it :)

Cause the income should be balanced against the expenses. One shouldn't be able to buy 4 new ships after doing one run. That's not rewarding, that's insulting.

I have enough daily grind just to survive in the real world.
Then play games that give you everything with no efforts from your side. This game is not one of those. It requires a dedication.

Elite Dangerous has become a time sink with no rewards.
No. Because of easy mining credits it has became a mining simulator. Before the Void Opals the balance was, while not perfect, quite adequate. And the rewards were rewarding. Buying a new ship was something that felt good. Now new ships are as disposable as loaned Sidewinders.

That's your opinion, but I think you're deliberately not seeing the forest for the trees here. People don't want content gifted to them on a platter as you're implying, if you gave them more intermediary content to work between they would be just as happy, or is it also entitled zoomer behaviour to want the ship roster/engineering options/weapons etc to be more meaningfully diverse across the entire scope of a players progress not just end game?

I've been playing elite dangerous for a long time, a lot longer than its been on steam for at the very least. I'm bored. I'm just so absolutely bored of it. I love this game but there's next to nothing left for me to do. I love piloting the 'superheavy' class of ships, Anaconda, Imperial cutter, Federal corvette, the list stops there for me unfortunately because it's been 5 years since we got 60% of the ships in that class.

I want content. I don't actually care if it takes me another few ranks with the empire to unlock it frankly, that's so low on my list of priorities it doesn't even get an honourable mention. I just want more than three choices for ships in the class that makes me want to log in at all in the first place.

You can sit there and smirk at people who want something to do in this game that appeals to them and say things like "hoho, look at these entitled babies who want everything immediately by virtue of being born, how silly of them, this is a big boys game, the devs should ignore their little tantrums hoho" but that does nothing for me, that sort of attitude lets frontier skate on by with piss weak update that never truly works right after piss weak update that never truly works right when you could be, y'know, at least recognising the actual state of the game and putting your energy into getting something added to the game.

If you're happy with the games level of time sink whatever, but if you're going to go around being smug about it and trying to shut people down when they're telling you "this game needs change" then I genuinely hope your behaviour drives enough people away from the game for frontier to justify killing it off, you deserve it champ, I'll be here not playing elite dangerous because people like you won't let it grow beyond the puddle it currently is.
Ah yes, a thing that is useful for something that isn't. This is the equivalent of buffing something that is ♥♥♥♥ to something that is ever so slightly less ♥♥♥♥.
