You don't get the key. If you bought it on Steam, your Steam account has to be linked to your Frontier's one. Then your Alpha Odyssey should appear on the game launcher menu for installation.

And along with the above response, make sure you are launching the regular Elite: Dangerous, not Horizons. I also had to log out of the launcher and back in and it showed up by the Play button to select the alpha.

During log in I also had to click to Link account and not use existing. Not sure why as I already had my Steam account linked, but it was fine and fixed it for me.

got it to donwload and install, fps on my rig is pure trash, 16gb ram radeon rx580 8gb oc amd ryzon 5 3600 getting about 13fps on low settings boohoo

No. You can refund it and buy the Deluxe instead.

You'd have to double-check if your Frontier account is linked to your Steam account. Had one guy in our Discord server who had the same issue.

What he did:

1. In the ED base launcher, he logged out.
2. Tried to use the Steam Login to log into the launcher. If it says somewhere along the lines of "no account linked", that means that you would have to link your account first.

Inicia o jogo como Elite Dangerous (não o Horizons) e no laucher selecione "Odyssey - Public Alpha" e clique em instalar.
