Orange Sidewinder

I just dowloaded elite dangerus, but it dosen't start i keep getting the error message "Orange Sidewinder" all the time and i have looked it up multiple times but did not find a solution. Pls help:(

That error is connection related. Try to boot your computer and router and see if that helps.

If not then check if your firewall is blocking connection.

This is also known to appear for no reason every now and then. Even i got this error last night couple of times for no apparent reason. Just restarted game couple of times to get it working.

Has there been a solution to this? i have a friend that is getting the orange sidewinder message upon starting the game and can only acces the main menu.

From the main menu, go to Options>Network, and change the network device to the computers default connection (preferably ethernet). Don't use VPN/Hamachi etc connections.
