HOW TO SOLVE
Alright so it happened to me again and i fixed it. some people may be experiencing this.
If you recently installed Hamachi, the game will change the network setting to hamachi.
Go to;
>Options/Network/Network Adapter
>Change the adapter to Wi-Fi/Ethernet or the way you use your internet anything except Hamachi.
>Restart your game.

Check your network settings in options of the game, and that they are correct.

Game uses p2p, so some isps may not support it.

yeah sure i checked the network part of the game but i dont know anything about fixing it

Yup, I'm having this same issue. Game worked fine a month ago when I was trying out my new HOTAS...tried popping in after picking up the Celeste Corvus voice pack, and no connection. I haven't made any changes to my network settings between then and now, no change in ISP, literally nothing has changed in the intervening month...just can't connect even though Server Status is listed as "Ok." Ran through Frontier's troubleshooting guide with no success. Maybe I'll wait another month and see if the servers will let me play the game again.

Tried deleting/redownloading the AppConfig.xml file, no dice. And manually checking for an update was the very first thing I did (ran into that one in the past).

well, reinstalling the game solved it.

Might want to mark the op as "solved" so others can benefit from your solution.

Good thing modern SSDs aren't as prone to longevity issues as they used to be, otherwise I'd be loathe to run that 'fix'

EDIT - well, an uninstall (complete with deleting the lingering folder in Steam) and reinstall didn't fix it for me. Guess I'm back to my fall-back plan of waiting for the next update.

Why wait so long instead of sending a ticket to support. They are quite adept actually.

It's an issue that spontaneously manifested since the September Update, I figure that a November (or December) Update would similarly demanifest it. That's usually how these wonky connectivity issues have gone in my experience :P

Hi, i got the same Problem right now. After turning on IPv6 on the NIC (no idea why it is disabled) and setting the network environment to "private" it works. So if somebody has Problems, then look if the IPv6 is disabled somehow. The adresses of ED are in IPv6 Format and i have an IPv6 connection via the ISP. I think the Modem could not make the translate from IPv6 to IPv4, or something like that.

I had the same thing happen when trying to run Elite Dangerous Horizons. What I had to do is run Elite Dangerous and wait a few seconds on main menu for the game to establish connection, after that exit game and launch Elite Dangerous Horizons. Seems a bit silly but maybe it needs to verify something from the base game?
for me the problem came from my vpn that was activated

I have the same problem. My motherboard has 3 ethernet ports (2 are 1Gbps and 1 is 10Gbps) and one wifi. When I use the 10Gbps port I can't connect to frontier server, all other ports are working just fine.
