there is plants on many many planets to scan
But don't expect grass and trees. Currently landable planets don't have strong enough atmosphere to support it.
For example some planets are categorized as able to be terraformed. Well has any completed there terraforming process so we can walk there and see what came out of it (vegation, life, ...) ?
We don't even need to wait for those to be terraformed. There are already planets with full atmospheres in the game. Say, the Earth is already there.
But those planets are off limits for landing. FDevs have to develop the whole atmospheric gameplay first. And that's a lot of work, even that they probably can reuse some of their work on their Zoo Tycoon game.
