The Orbis Scale: Measuring system potential for colonization
I created The Orbis Scale as a way to estimate system potential for colonization.

T3 Construction point cost increases by 6 after the first two T3 Ports are built.
6 - 6 - 12 - 18 - 24 - 30- 36, etc
As such, we can express system potential based on Max Orbis capacity.
With recent addition of Demolishing mechanics, the Orbis Scale has been simplified.

T1 System = 1 Orbis: 1-5 sites = Primary Port Orbis.
T2 System = 2 Orbis: 6-12 sites = Primary + 3 Surface + 3 orbital
T3 System = 3 Orbis: 12-24 sites = Primary + 6 Surface + 6 orbital
T4 System = 4 Orbis: 24-41 sites = Primary + 12 surface + 12 orbital
T5 System = 5 Orbis: 42-66 sites = Primary + 21 Surface + 21 orbital
T6 System = 6 Orbis: 66-96 sites = Primary + 33 Surface + 33 orbital
T7 System = 7 Orbis: 96-132 sites= Primary + 48 Surface + 48 orbital
T8 System = 8 Orbis: 132+++sites= Primary + 66 Surface + 66 orbital

System Types and potential can be described easily with the orbis scale.
Rocky T4 system. T6 Ice System, T3 Ammonia system, T4 Ring System, T5 Water system, etc..

Another useful value for colonization is Settler Max.

Settler max is an estimation of System Score obtained for the least amount of cargo hauled by building orbital installations + Large Settlements. Which is required to achieve max Tier potential anyway for those interested in doing so.
Optimal System Point to cargo hauled ratio is 7 system points per 15,200 cargo.

So we can estimate a bulk of System Score potential as 7x per Orbit & Surface Pair
For example: A minimum T3 System has a Settler Score of 42+

Settler Max does NOT include extra possible system points made building large structures such as Coriolis or T3 Stations.

What is an Orbis?

Type of station:

Has a cylindrical core, unlike the Ocedllus which has a spherical core. Both have the habitat ring (or rings).

T3 Orbital Starports. Orbis, Ocellus, Dodec.
The big space stations. Some with and without a ringdepending on the design.
I guess it could be called the Starport Scale to make it more universal to totally new players.
