my specs are
Intel i-5-2320 @ 3.00 GHZ
6gb RAM
AMD Radeon HD 6570 (1gb)
not the specs i have at the moment but it runs the game well for me
http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-260-vs-GeForce-GT-540M
I guess it depends. I run the game on a 840M which according to your website, performs quiet a bit lower than the GTX 260 as well and my fps on 1080p and medium/high details are as follows:
Out in the open = constant 50-60 fps
Near Stars and a RES sites = 35-50 fps
Inside big stations = 18-25 fps
Now if I turn down the resolution to 1366x768 which still looks pretty good in my opinion, I get constant 60 fps everywhere except in big stations where it drops to 30-40 fps.
So I wouldn't go by the website you pointed to. If I would turn down details to low, I could probably get 50-60 fps even in stations on lower resolutions.
Ironically there is a demo option in the launcher, so I also assumed there would be a free demo somewhere.
But after reading several similar threads it seems all the demos have been withdrawn.
But I've also read that the game can be run on any device running Windows, even tablets. And the devs said in an interview that it will run on any Windows compatible system.
But I guess until they put a free demo back online there is no way of knowing except to ask other people with your setup.
My old laptop was an A10-4600M 2.5GHz Quad-core, 8GB RAM, and AMD Radeon HD 7660G w/ 512MB dedicated VRAM. I could run it at 720p w/ low settings at around 40fps.
My new laptop, though, has an i7-4710HQ 2.5GHz Quad-core 3.5GHz Turbo, Intel HD4600 (which I never use), 8GB RAM, and GTX 860M w/ 2GB dedicated VRAM. I can run it perfectly fine, fully maxed out at 1080p at a solid 70-90fps. Well, outside of stations; inside of stations it drops to around 40fps.
Also, there is a demo out there; you just have to hunt for it a bit. :\ I'll try to find it and link it in another comment.
Not an officially supported one, mind, unless I'm very mistaken... if you find it, use it at your own risk.
There it is. Hopefully it still works. Click the "standalone" link, and it'll download. I didn't open it, but it did download for me when I clicked the link.
