I see some ships now are green, is that mean they are my allies?

More or less. They like you, but not enough to forgive you for forgetting a birthday.

Yes that means they are either on friendly or allied standing with you. You can check your reputation standings with the local minor faction and the major factions on the right side in the HUD.

yup but even greens are "wanted" sometimes... kill them... its safe... and the greens will NOT turn orange or red.

If you are trying to build rep with the faction he is with don't kill that green ship it will lower your standing with that faction . The missions they give will change with your rep .
