Radio Sidewinder
For those that didn't know, I just discovered there is a 24/7 radio station for E:D

When I played EvE Online I used to listen to their radio station all the time while playing, it was one the most fun things about the game, hehe. Good DJ's and lots of competitions and stuff you could do while you were playing.

So I'm happy to learn there is a radio station for this game as well!

Its not great though since most of it is a repeat track it gets obviuos after 24 hours and also they use text to speech software, it is really cheap.. anyway maybe it gets better the more the game gets populated and finishd )

Their signal transmission must be the best, people on the other side of the galaxy can tune in and listen their radio station! =P

I wasnt critizing the content, only that its limited. for natural reasons, I like the content, its limited and cheap, just wish it was more... :D

Well they're just guys like us, and they don't get paid. It's based on donations. I think they're doing a good job :)

I donated 100 UK pounds a few weeks back, and they thanked me immensively, even got a mail from the founder asking me if I really could afford this lol.

I assured him I could, and since then I've already heard a lot of new music and new commercials and stuff.

Donate guys! Even 1 dollar/pound makes a difference.

Like we say in Norway: Many small creeks make a large river (or something similar lol) :P

Edit: Have to add: Remember it costs money for any radio station to play any music registered, so they have continous costs for playing the music in addition to the costs of renting the servers.

I was in a registered band once and we were played like 10 time son national radio (P3 in Norway), and we all (5 band members) got about 700 NOK (60 pounds/90 dollars at the time) for just being played.

So it costs money to play music for the masses!

It's incredibly simple but none the less genious. I'm totally hooked on it. First heard it when watching a stream by BadNewsBaron on Twitch where he played music requested by viewers.

It's totally awesome. Give it a go, and help me back it up on the requests forum on the Radio Sidewinder forum! :guard: You'll have to register to post, though...

Radio Sidewinder is awesome, just found out about these guys the other day myself.

Totally recommend all CMDRs to tune-in and it least check it out! It's pretty immersive with the different tracks, GalNet news readings, current events, and even commercials advertising special in-game groups (shoutout to the FUEL RATS! Hahah!)

edit: Also, I really think this oughta be a sticky! Radio Sidewinder deserves more recognition!
