Explorer: Galaxy Map, finding stations?
Hi Guys,

Was looking on the forums a little bit but didnt really find my answer.

So im exploring a little bit at the moment, havent played E.D for that long.

My question is:

Can you see on the galaxy map where the nearest station or dock is?

For example, im running low on fuel and wanna know where the nearest station or dock is.
I have a fuel scoop, but still curious if there is a way on the map to see stations or docks without looking at system maps 1 by 1.

It's not possible in the game as of yet, but there is an excellent 3rd-party tool for it: Slopey's BPC Trade Tool.

Find it here: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=20181

In addition to being able to find the best trade routes for you, it also has a feature for finding out where a special commodity is and how far in light years it it from you. And if there are commodities, there is fuel :)

If you just want a station, then you can set the system map to display economies. Systems with an economy have at least one station, and if they don't, you should report that as a bug.

normally systems thare have more details than just the star size have stations

for example if the system says it is industrial or democratic or something like that then it has a station. I say this because you can't always system view a system your about to jump to.

all systems named in COL appear to be brown dwarfs from what I noticed.

also you can tell what star it is by looking at the color of the system on the map.. either that or I just been lucky =P

Yeah ive been messing around with the economy view to check for trade routes, cuz yeah there should be somewhat of a station/dock there then right..

as i said before i was going on my first exploring mission to Pleiades Nebula outta curiosity,, this was just one of the question that came along the way ^^
