Report a translation problem
Save the file and then once it is downloaded find it and run it as administrator.
Try uninstalling and then reinstalling.
I just did that but it didn't allow me to repair the file

You can also open a command prompt and type sfc /scannow to check if any of your system files are missing or corrupted. Also run anivirus software to see if you alread have a virus or malware that is causing you this problem. MalwareBytes is a free tool that will find malware for you and is very good at it. Also look in your WIndows/System32 folder and see if the file is indeed missing. If its not then its corrupted.

Generally when installing runtime libraries the user choose the version complying its operating system (64 bit or 32 bit). But The elite dangerous executable seems to be 32 bit (EliteDangerous32.exe). In this case you have to install the 32 bit version of visual C++ redistibutable.
