Not a very helpful post. How can you compare this to a game that is not yet released? If you judge Elite based on its current lack of a planned future feature (walking), then you ought to apply the same standards to what SC is currently offering. Which is arguably less, and certainly no RPG.
However having the largest ship also comes with downsides, smaller ships like the viper or vulture can easily outmaneuver your 600-700m combat fitted Anaconda.
The anaconda can also be fitted with cargo racks carrying around 450t and still being able to bite back unlike the T9.
