You keep quitting because of NPC interdictions which are pretty easy to deal with (and in my experience, don't seem to happen often)?

Well, alright. You do you.
the game is Elite: Dangerous, not Elite: Casual

Fortunately, games like Star Trucker exist too, if you want the casual gameplay.
Don't quit because of interdictions. Learn to beat them. Its not hard.
NPC interdictions are really easy to avoid though...

No cargo/missions? Pretty much guaranteed you won't get interdicted unless you're travelling through a system at war or similar.

And even if you do get interdicted, the mini game is stupidly easy to beat against NPCs.

Personally, I let them interdict me (even frequently encourage it by carrying some valuable cargo), submit, then kill them for the extra bounty credits.

Thargoids interdictions are hardest to avoid.

Actually those are impossible to avoid.

NPC ones are trivial.

Pretty sure once you build up rep with the main faction of a system, they stop interdicting you randomly for the most part.

actually pve interdictions must not even be avoided (even though it is not difficult), pirates that do that are usually quite weak and can be deleted out of the way by simply carrying one or two multicannons with you.

this is why i love my Type 8 get interdicted boost to around 500 MS out run the pirate and supercruise away. can't wait till we get a large pad SCO ship. all of the new ships are so much faster then the old ones.
If you have supercruise overcharge, just immediately boost.
I kinda agree with the sentiment - It's certainly not enough for me to quit the game, but for me the game would be much more enjoyable if there were a way to completely opt out of combat like you can opt out of all the other aspects of the game if you don't want to play them.

When I was hauling to help people out who had eyes bigger than their tummy for colonisation builds, I bought a T9 and that got interdicted on pretty much every trip when it was hauling cargo. Yeah all but one of those I was able to escape from, but it's just tedious and adds no pleasure to the game for me.

Can't have sailships without sails.
Or cannons.

However, if your Elite rank is poor, you encounter poor pirates.
Even if interdictions are tedious.

Ultimately, if you fly a loaded T9 every pirate is going to come after you.

And what exactly is your point?

As others already said, pve interdictions are pretty easy to handle, even with a T9 they are not challenging (but pretty annoying). So you just tell us what? Not knowing how to move a mouse? <eg>
hit X, FSD resets in like 5 seconds, jump out...

Yeah. As I say it's pretty tedious and doesn't enhance the game at all for me. I assume it enhances it for others. It's not going to drive me out of the game but it would certainly improve the game for me if I could opt out of combat, just as people who like combat can opt out of expiration or mining or whatever.
