I think turning the module off in the right-hand panel will do the trick?
Like said before, disable the auto-docking in modules to do like you wish.
Another choice is to deactivate it when you want to do it manually.
Or deactivate auto-landing on planets while keeping the module installed and functional at space stations.
This would be my suggestion. Keep it off and land manually unless you're in really rough terrain where you're struggling to find a landing spot.
in your modules menu, you can select any module (inlc. life support) and switch it off, or repair it (if you have a repair module).
Switch off the DC, and land the ship manually. It will be difficult the first few times but you will never look back.
The only time i reactivate the DC is when i want to hear the Blue Danube again. Once a year approximately.
Be aware that some ships are a joy to land on planets (Cobras, Sideys, Adders and the small ships), and some are annoying (Asps, Type #s, etc.), and some are downright impossible.
I'm not that good at that part lol but I guess I could do it when I do Exo biology and turn it back on again
Thanks for the replies
That's turning the module off entirely. You're in the wrong tab. Go to the ship systems tab (4th one along maybe?). There you can just turn off the auto landing feature, auto docking will still work
Oh I can but like I said earlier "I'm not that good at that part"
