Well done!
Yeah the Scouts are easy for the most part but I've only managed to be a part of killing one Interceptor so far. I've watched videos on tactics a few times but most of them were not in combat zones. They were able to fly up to the interceptor and scan it then back away. That's not an option in war. There's usually three of them instead of one by itself.
Check the live progress in all systems here: https://dcoh.watch/systems
Over the past two years, we normally got 2-3 invasion systems on thursday and cleared them in 2 days.
Now we have 11 invasions, and because people are picking and choosing which system they fight in they're all clearing much slower. Therefore, on Thursday, those remaining Invasions will become Thargoid Controlled (all stations abandoned and empty), there will be a large number of Alert systems, and some new and existing invasion systems.
FDev don't need to script this part, it's the way the system works and the way the Thargoid side of the war was programmed. They just increased the number of invasions, and the rest flows on from there.
If every player fought in Procyon right now, we'd clear that system in hours. Then move on to Sirius, then Duamta, etc. This is what the big groups usually organise between them, but even they have picked different combat targets:
https://dcoh.watch/operations
"General consensus is that Sol is not worth doing till the other Invasions are cleared, although Titan rescues are viable. What you do is your choice, there are no orders just targets. Some are doing Duamta first as the HQ of Aegis"
The AXI says:
"As a formal target, Duamta and the Orunmilla megaship (692Ls) for our focus.
Conventional, priority-based-on-progress past that;
Procyon, highest progress & highest population
Attacked Planetaries - Saker's Enterprise & Schade Horizons"
Imperial Xeno Defense:
Duamta
Attacked station Megaship: Orunmilla (Megaship!!!, 692 LS)
Sirius (and don't call me Shirley)
Procyon (highest population system under attack)
Canonn:
HIVE INVASION OPS PRIORITY ONE
DUAMTA - MEGASHIP ORUNMILLA - 692LS
That's what I was doing but the Interceptors would just wipe out the NPCs and it would be me and one NPC fighting 3 Interceptors and I would end up dead soon after. It was much easier before this attack.
Never knew about any of this stuff, thanks for the links.
The 7% in EZ Aquarii is partly me, lol. That was my home base and much of my time has been fighting there. I doubt I helped much but I've been in the conflict zones quite a bit.
The real traitors are the gankers trying to stop the AX and evacuation ships.
A-rated Krait Mk II + military hull + enhanced AX multis from a rescue megaship + xeno utils + 2 heatsinks from a rescue megaship + hull reinforcements + module reinforcements + engineering on the thrusters if you have it.
No shields required.
Done.
(Obviously applying heavy duty engineering to the military armour and all hull reinforcements will help survivability.)
If you want to fit more than 4 AX multis you'll need a size 3 stabiliser (also from the rescue megaships).
Then you can go into a CZ and hunt scouts with it. If you get caustic (green hull bar), enter silent running and fire your guns + boost until you get to about 200% heat (or the caustic burns off) then fire 1 heatsink.
If you want to tackle a Cyclops let me know and I'll outline one or two changes to the build.
To tell the Cyclops and Basilisk apart at a glance, check the number of hearts below their info panel on the left. 4 = cyclops, 5 = basi. The Medusa and Hydra are unmistakable.
yeah that's all too much for me right now, I'll stick with regular bounty hunting/conflict zones if I get an itch for combat. I do appreciate you giving this info for anybody else that may need it though
NP and I think the invasion is going to last a lot longer than people think.
Unless the update on the 10th has the Titan landing on a moon in the solar system.
I'm still wondering if the conspiracies are true and the Titan will land on Triton and wipe out Mother Gaia.
In an alternate universe where Frontier had infinite development funds, I'd imagine the Titan crashing on an atmo planet and then thargoid ground troops spilling out to set up bases, converting the world to an ammonia atmosphere first.
Then we'd need new suits and weapons to take them on.
After that, a Guardian invasion force appears in Colonia and the Guardian sites are overrun with silver robots with glowing blue eyes.
But alas they have a far smaller budget - for the time being* - and so the Titan will probably go boom and remain in orbit above Earth as a debris field
*If the game earns enough after this year of new content, then perhaps eventually there could be some new gameplay around the dead titans.
