My Type 8 Over heats when jumping.
When Jumping to any system the type 8 heats up to 85, Anyone else have this problem?

Are you still scooping fuel when you do it?

Overheating is determined more by your power plant than anything else. Make sure you're using a 5A power plant to disperse heat efficiently.

If it is overcharged it will generate more heat. Also your distributor can affect heat. If you stay near the star most ships cannot fuel scoop infinitely without having to fly away from the star to cool down and come back for another pass. If the engines are engineered for dirty drive at all, they will generate more heat.

I don't know how the Type 8 comes stock.

I also noticed mine overheats and I'm not even close to a star I just hear the warning sound and see the smoke on my dashboard... a bit after I scooped some fuel but I'm not close, the star on my radar is yellow not red.
It doesn't when I jump from sys to sys though

could be normal, you ever fly a type 7 or 9? type 7 overheats if i even look at the jump button .

Yeah, I have to be careful after flying around in my bubble-hopper - a Dolphin that can scoop and engage jump at the same time without even breaking a sweat. Any cargo hauler after that and I'm melting my face if I forget I've changed ships :)

I find the Type 8 overheats when I boost (normal space) while charging the FSD.

If boost then charge, I am good (60-63 heat). If charge then boost, I am in the 82-85 heat range.

Might want to look at the power distributor and power plant engineering.
