Looking through coriolis, Corsair has size 7 power distributor and more cargo. 318 max cargo for corsair, 288 (reported on the wiki) for type-11.

Higher yield chunks is the key, yes.

And people can always fit the 33% boosted cargo holds from the CG if they really want a little more space.

Am I the only one who dislikes the multi limpet controllers because you can't kill off prospectors as you need more collectors?

This is mainly for core mining, where the prospector limpet quality doesn't matter as much as it does for laser mining.

The mining limpet controllers are good for collection for their size but their prospector limpets are a lower rating to where it's not even worth using.

Really want elite needs it bigger collector modules.

Re the new multi-limpet size 5, I normally fit a 3A prospector anyway.

I have a fully engineered type-10 i used in the thargoid war and i called it the Type-11 GOLIATH and i'm VERY UPSET that they made a real type 11 and it... IDK it isn't the same and i am the big sad that they actually went around and did that!

3c multi-limpet controller spawns more collector limpets than a size 3 collector limpet controller would. So they're good, but they need to be paired with A-rated prospector. You could use Operations controller instead of mining one too.

It is MASSIVE, but prospectors are A rated. They always matter, core or laser.

Type 8 can fit it.

Still can't turn off collectors to shoot a prospector limpet would be my problem with it, would cap out all the limpets as collectors and wouldn't be able to use the prospector limpets.

That's a "you" problem, not a limpet controller problem.

Don't fire off 8~! collectors at once and you will always have a prospector ready. You never need 8 of them.
Smaller mining limpet controllers have a lower limit. It's easy to accidentaly release 3 or 4 collectors but 8? Not really possible so not really a con.
