Li Yong-Rui module discounts?

What happened to module discounts? I went to 3 systems; 2 strongholds and 1 fortified and in all 3 systems, module discounts are not shown. Is it still there just not indicated or is it a cancelled feature? Seems this change occurred after the Vanguard announcement.

I tried exiting to main menu and reloading the game but it's still the same. Haven't tried exiting the game and restarting though.

I might be wrong, but I don't think LYR has reduced module prices. Or at least I couldn't find it.

Edit: Elsewhere it does say that there should be a 15% discount in any controlled or exploited system by LYR.

I guess you can visit a non-LYR system and compare the prices to make sure.

Edit 2: Take advantage of the trading CG, hit Elite rank and then you can get a permit to Founder's World.

It used to have; that's the main reason i joined a long time ago. Bought tons of modules and ships from him.

So INARA doesn't mention anything of this.

But when I make a wider search, there I can see it.

Perhaps it is possible that since PowerPlay 2.0 this has changed. Someone would have to confirm, in the meantime you can run that test I wrote in "Edit 1" to test the theory.

However, I still think doing some CG trading and hitting Elite is your best option, because if I am not mistaken, the discount at Shinrarta Dezhra is even better than what you'd get from LYR.

No not since PP 2.0, i saw it, i bought some modules and ships. I only noticed this change since yesterday.

You didn't need to join LYR to get his discount. It was available to everybody.

Not sure if that still applies since PP2.0, It's been a long time since I've had to worry about the cost of ships/modules enough for 10 or 15% discounts to be worth chasing; but I assume so....?

I think you might be this time. LYR discount was 15% (?), ShinDez was only 10%, I think?

I purchased a module at Starlace/Minerva yesterday, and a note was displayed that I had a 15% discount because of elite status (elite trader, thank you CG). Nothing obvious about a discount simply for being in LYR space. And I'm pledged to our Honorable President, Felicia Winters, so LYR didn't throw me any breaks.

Never known Mr Yong-Rui to provide a discount, because I didn't pledge to him for it. As far as I am aware, he never provided such a discount upon my joining.

I pledged because of the trade dividends, and bonus to cartographic data sales, and the rearm/refuel/repair reduction. Thanks to this CG I am already benefiting from the trade dividends, even if it is only at 5% right now for me. I am close to unlocking the first powerplay module, I believe I am rank 33 when I went to bed last night.

I'm Elite V trader and pledged to LYR but i don't see the discount note anymore. It looks like a RAM problem or an update bug because i just bought some guns and the prices are equal to the old stock i have mounted on my ship.

More verification needed though at other Power locations to be sure that the 15% discount still exists.

I checked and if you're Elite, you get a 2.5% discount everywhere, so to my understanding this stacks in which case you should get 17.5% at LYR systems.

Yes i knew about that, i forgot to mention that the secondary reason i have for joining is to support him so that his ranking doesn't fall too low and hopefully expand his presence so that i can buy things at convenient locations.

Yes the discounts on modules and ships also mean lower rebuy costs.

Yes it does stack; i used to see 2 notes, one about the 15% and one about the 2.5%.

Okay yeah, I looked it up. You don't have to be pledged to him to receive the discount, which is why it confused me what you were talking about, since it's not tied to being ranked in his faction.

Speaking of LYR though, I hope next cycle I'll have a better selection of assignments, that don't require me to travel very far, or isn't the frustrating "on foot" related stuff.

The LYR discount never came with a notification anyway. The prices in stations for ships/modules were just cheaper.
