I watched this video a few hours ago, found a trade route with 2 jumps.... over 50 million an hour.

Doesn't sound like a lot but when you have super cruise assist and advance docking module... game basically played itself while I watched Youtube.

Hauling is my main activity in this game. Here are some ideas that work for me.

- Figure out your goal; this will help.

-- If the goal is to gain reputation/influence, I recommend establishing yourself as a central home station/star system to start the haul from or to, depending on the faction you want to build influence from.

--- Focus on supply missions. When they run out, they focus on simply the market until the missions refresh.

-- If I want to make money, I would still do the above. Plus, aim to have your home station's refinery economy. Silver and other ores tend to be easy to sell. Plus, the destination station/settlement tends to have items to sell back at the home station.

--- In addition to that, with the whole colonization going on, I would recommend going to one of the systems with a Trailblazer's supply ship and making runs between the various fleet carriers and the Trailblazer's supply ship. I recommend checking out the PNT (PIlots Trade Network) channel on Discord to see which ships are asking for help.

-- If you have the funds to make a claim, you could even create your colony. (If you do this, make your first port an Outpost, you will have a limited time to do the first port. You have unlimited time to work on all other ports.)

--Or you could help supply some other colony with supplies.

- Decide if you want to do bulk hauling or special items (Limited supply items). This will determine the ship size you need.

- I highly recommend having a TV series or a movie going on while you do this. It does get pretty boring after a while.

Yeah man, just fill your ship with cargo racks and do hauling.
Watch the inara routes like the link above to get good incomes and avoid interdictions.
Have fun !

Wow great timing... you return right after System Colonization has been introduced, which demands 100's of hauling trips to build stuff in a system, and wonder where to start to haul?

The tip is, advertise yourself as willing to haul for players doing system colonization, and folks will pay you nicely for your time... well above anything the game or usual trading could offer.
